Motty got man of the match, made a crucial save at 0-0 after we had missed a great chance, 3 passes later and Ross hit a low shot from the edge of the box that Bayes could only parry into the net.

Basingstoke were lively up front but appealed for about 16 penalties. We had a few chances to be fair but will be thankful for them missing a last minute penalty after we went to sleep and they played a quick free kick and Fraser upended their player. Luckily Daley hit the post.

Good win after we have been out of action while others have had games. Good workrate from the all. Kudos to Basingstoke for getting the game on but the pitch cut up horrendously and wasnt conducive to play football on by the end.

Highlights and interviews with Jamie Day and Man of the Match Sam Mott up over next day or so.

It's saying that Kieran was taken off in 18 minute. In a bad way by the sounds of it.

War of attrition. Ross missed sitter, Mott saved well then Ross scored a good goal. Pitch is a ploughed field. Ref has a big red nose and comedy trousers on, or should have.

Full time 1-0 to Wings. Sounds like we made hard work of it, but a win's a win.

Awooga!!!

That's 10 consecutive league wins which, I believe, equals the BSS record - should we break it we really need to milk it for press coverage, it's not every day our club sets records and would make a great story considering the position we were in 2 years ago.

Ideal result, clean sheet, shake off the rust from having not played for a couple of weeks, and take a bite out of Salisbury's lead

COYWs!!!

Sounded like a tough game, but we come home with the points, excellent.
Let's hope Curtis is ok.

Watched the updates on the Gazette site and looks like we have had a winners lucky day. 3 more points in the bag.

Well done boys.

Another excellent result. The league winning run just keeps on going!

Can we all make sure that when the match reports (on the WUFC website and newsshopper) and video highlights go up, that as many people as possible share them via twitter and Facebook using the buttons by the articles/video.Especially the newsshopper report. Since we started using the Facebook and Twitter buttons, the match reports have regularly been in the top 10 most read articles on the site. This is invaluable free publicity, which we need to exploit whilst on this incredible run.

Since I started sharing via Facebook and Twitter, friends have started enquiring about Welling and a couple have even started coming along to the odd game. Even the other week someone at work mentioned Welling's current run after seeing the AFC Hornchurch match report on the Newsshopper site!

The video highlights are also highly effective as they give people a taster of what to expect at PVR, and are what originally enticed me to WUFC. The highlights are far more effective than any leaflet or flyer and are much more cost effective.

Charlton have thrown away another 3 points today and continued their dismal home run, making this the perfect window of opportunity to convert a few disgruntled Addicks.

Let's get the word out!

Blue Square Bet have just announced that we've equalled the record for the most consecutive wins in the Blue Square Bet South with 10!

I wonder what the odds on that were at the beginning of the season. They've got to give that a mention on the BBC Non-League show and in the Non-League Paper.

Curtis apparently went to hospital with a gash to his knee

This game was dreadful in terms of lots of things apart from a couple.....a win and three points!!!

This game could be a season defining moment

We cant score 3 or 4 every week.....and another year we would have lost that by 3 or 4

Happy days

Speedy recovery for Guthrie.

Found it highly amusing that there were some Salisbury fans in attendance today, some were even decked in Salisbury scarfs the lot. Could understand if it was 2 games from the end of the season but we are around 20!!, each to there own I supose.

If our players read their forum they will be motivated. Think they are getting rattled that we keep winning at the moment. Can't see how you call any team that have won 10 on bounce poor average and state they will drop lots of points. Quite funny actually.
