Yep, sure he won't let us down. Hope Sam Mott is given a chance for England C and not just left on the bench

JT won't need our good luck. He's already a solid and dependable keeper at this level who knows and has already done what's been asked of him. He didn't do much wrong when he came in for Craig Holloway last season when our play-off berth was secured.

Well done Lord Jamie of Day for insisting on a second keeper last season.

Great result but downside was that the gate was only 433.... Makes you wonder what we have to do to encourage people to watch Welling.

We need to be more proactive in encouraging friends and family to come to games, and promoting online match reports anvs highlights. If we all encouraged one friend or relative to attend, our gates would double overnight. The free kids offer should make it easier for family to come along.

Fantastic result. Defence was solid again - Jack Oberstellar bombed forward like a gazelle for the third goal, and JT was excellent in Sam Mott's absence. Roscoe and Gallagher didn't see a lot of the ball but covered every blade of grass on the pitch and constantly pressed the opposition. Also thought Clarkie was very energetic and gave his best performance of the season. Juan Joe Healy - magnificent as usual.

Bring on Dover

Fantastic run from Obersteller to set that up. Then Lafayette pressured the defender to put the ball into his own net.

A lot of people are not going to like this but in my opinion we should be advertising ourselves as the highest placed non league team in Greater London and look towards the residents of Greenwich and other boroughs rather than restricting ourselves to Bexley. Of course we may not be able to do that next season as AFC Wombles may be a conference team.

Our pressing is sensational, they all run and close down all over the park, and work rate with the ball is also top class. We could have won by 7 or 8 tonight easily, Their keeper made 2 or 3 top saves and we had other shots and chances. Wood came to sit deep and smack long balls. When we got through them it was game over and could have been any score you like. We werent at our best but our work rate was phenomenal and desire to win. Glad Kiernan scored as could have scored a couple in the first half. Obos run for the 3rd goal was Obo at his best he just went through them and done them for pace then put the ball in and said finish that.. and their defender did just that.

Interviews with Jamie Day and Man of the Match Fraser Franks plus highlights over the next couple of days hopefully.

Unbelievable performance tonight, had everyone drooling. Not a single player had a bad game.

A lot of teams sing they score when they want, but we quite literally could have had any number we wanted tonight if we hadn't eased up for the last 25 minutes.

Personally would have given MOTM to Obo or Clarkey (who I thought was back to his best tonight) but can't argue with Franks.

I thought Big Ben has been commanding last two games and as good as hes ever been in his career in the air he just says thats mine and nuts it. We have 3 excellent center backs.

A quote from a fan on Chelmsford's forum:

"Welling seem ******* relentless - a winning machine. Day is doing a cracking job on what much surely be a shoestring budget. Don't fancy playing them anytime soon..."

Shows what impact results like tonight have on other teams in the league - they fear us and with good reason. I'm sure Daisy is ensuring that we don't get complacent and will be emphasising that we can't take anything for granted, but the result tonight shows that when we play to our potential we can beat anyone in this league.

Long may the run continue.

Also had to laugh when Daysy had a strop after getting subbed off, any other player would be getting a bollocking for doing that

Yep heard Boreham Wood fans at the station and they were full of praise for us and accepted we are a class above most sides in this league.

They also commented on how the players work hard for each other and fight for the ball if they lose it. Rosscoe the greatest example of this I think, maybe not the most naturally talented striker we've ever had but gives 100% for the whole game despite having lumps kicked out of him every match. His goals always seem to be important ones as well, Basingstoke, Bath, Salisbury, Truro, Dorchester etc

Good to know some of them did actually make it to the game - I think I saw a grand total of three of them pre-match

Roscoe is a proper centre forward - strong as an ox, good first touch, always makes the right decision and runs himself into the ground for every single minute he's on the pitch. Along with Jake Gallagher, the find of the season.

I saw Daysy telling the bench to make a sub just prior to him going off, probably to take Roscoe off but they must have missunderstood him. Pretty funny though.

Superb performance tonight and a clean sheet too. As some have said before, could not fault anyone tonight and really hard to pick MOTM but if you put a gun to my head I'd have to say Obo.

Dissapointed in the ref tonight who usually has a decent game at PVR. Missed far too many off the ball incidents although the assistants are there to assist and just didn't.

Interesting reading, Chelwing, nothing to do with him played out of position? Hes a player to play off the left of a striker or strikers or a bit deeper, i just took it as read you would know that? The amount of times he was up against Barney must have been less than 2 if not fewer, He played as the right striker of two and Barney played right back. Thalassatis played the left striker role when advanced. True the center halfs gave Loick nothing and the midfielders pressed him when he was dropping into center mid and he was marked out of the game very well.
.
As for the Ref, he let their 4 walk round the pitch giving him earole and fouling. "Persistant Infringements" law clearly ignored. Most of the rest of the game he did ok and he isnt alone in letting people foul 4, 5, 6 times and letting it carry on, it does often stifle the player being continually fouled.
