The phrase "we had to progress the competition" hints the withdrawal may have been asked for or prompted by the Kent FA, to be politically correct and not bomb them out of the Cup. I have no idea why they didnt play the fringe and Academy as we did. Theyve had about 4 months to play it.

We had our game P-P at Staines on Tueday because the Middlesex cup took priority. Not that I agree with that at all but why does the KSC not operate in the same way?

I think all county cups take priority over the league. However some county F.A's realise this can cause problems to their member clubs and are willing to allow games to be played when suitable to the club. It seems certain county F.A's are full of their own importance they insist on their games taking priority. Of course this could help clubs who want the county game to be played as it will help with suspended/injured players. Seems strange to me that there is still a Middlesex Senior Cup as there is no such county. Staines is in Surrey and Hayes and Yeading (when they return to their ground) are a London team.
