Good idea lets all slag the players off again. *f*u*k* me....

The "greek kid" hasnt kicked a ball in 12 months? EFF ME he played against us ffs this season. He could be as good as Healy and McMahon...

There is no extra money , but shall we just spunk an extra grand a week for a couple of seasons then say in 2 years hang on... weve got a little bit of debt.

Have you read the salisbury forum when they slagged their players off, that worked didnt it they just got worse....

Have you two been on the sauce ffs. turn it in, we are top with three EFFing games in hand. Calm down ffs and get behind them.

Ryan Dolby... was once in ten games ffs. Jack Evans is on a par with Connor and Barney, all good young players whove done very well for us.

Find another 3 people and someone who will put in a nifty get Chris to sling in his long un and you might get Pires FOR A WEEK, Doesnt matter that Jamie might not want him haha, you go ahead and sign him. what is it 6 or 7 weeks left, yeah 3 grand should get someone of Pires class, good luck with that, make it 5k and you might get Pugh.

Just calm down and get behind the players, the noise on Saturday was UNDERWHELMING for a home game for a team at the top. Scream your faces off and get behind them, When we are away our fans are the best in the league, the players need support at home. No use saying they should do this or that when the fans miss an opportunity to create a racket on the terraces.

I dont care if you are suggesting overspending for a day... its wrong and has got us in the crap before. Even Jamie has said we shouldnt overspend. If we did i believe its sticking two fingers up at those that dug deep to save the club.

And furthermore, i expect Mr Blobby to be there on Tuesday night with bagpipes or the tannoy we took to farnborough last season or even a bontempi wired up to a guitar amp.

I make more than my fair share of noise, whilst Chris usually comes close to perforating a lung by leading the "Oh when the wings" chant. How about we operate the camera in the stand and you can have a little sing song instead? You can chant for Theo for the duration of the game and see if that will summon a half decent performance from him.

6 or 7 weeks left but only 3 or 4 till we hopefully have Faz and Juan Joe back. 3-5k to loan a decent winger/striker who needs game time for that period? My a*se. It's not "overspending" if it all but guarantees a much more lucrative season in a higher league.

... about the lack of squad strengthening over the past few weeks. We ve had serious injuries to two major players in Faz and juan joe. And we've replaced them with a 17 year old dutch chav who stayed for about 5 mins, and a greek kid who has n't kicked a ball in 12 months and is rumored to be getting paid pocket money. Do the board/management team not want promotion?

Just look at this video of Loick ripping Tonbridge to shreds last week.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEkGXZEreOM

I 've read the manager stat a few weeks ago that there is no money. But I think it's time he stopped showing so much loyalty to certain underperformers and dipped his toe in the loan market. The lads have looked like headless chickens in recent weeks. Yes we need players with the right attitide. But for me we are crying out for a winger like Ryan Dolby who can skin a man and whip a few decent balls into the box.

This will go down well with a few people! (Not)

I was slightly concerned by Jamie's comments in the programme this weekend - saying that we threw caution to the wind at 2-2 against Maidenhead when a draw wouldn't have been a disaster. That, for me, isn't the right attitude for a team battling to win the league - it's a calculated risk of winning an additional two points versus losing one point.

Yes, we wouldn't trade our position for that of any other team in the league, and yes I would have torn your arm off if you'd offered me this at the start of the season. HOWEVER, lets please continue the way we WERE playing, ie. going for the jugular and making teams worry about how we can damage them and not the other way around. At the moment, more width is needed in the side whilst Roscoe is working his nuts off but running on empty, which isn't surprising considering the number of minutes he's played in his first season at this level - he also gets scythed down by the opposition several times a game. If we can get in another forward as was mentioned in the programme, and/or a winger for the next month then it will help us capitalise on our position. Lets please not settle for having "just enough" to get us across the line or it could bite us in the behind.

Oh the power of exaggeration - Myself, and presumably, Chris, are not referring to spending a few grand extra per week for a couple of seasons, more like a few hundred quid per week for the next 3-4 weeks till Faz and Juan Joe are back and all but guarantee promotion. Considering Chris has put money into BTB already, and a few weeks ago offered to contribute another £100 for the sole purpose of bringing Loick back, that sounds both financially viable and perfectly reasonable.

Good god..whats happening guys?

We have two very winnable games coming right up now......If we can stop the 'going a goal down' problem that jamie is well aware of then we will find it will be much easier

ALL teams have the same situation....yes we have a load of games coming up BUT the squad will be fine....we WILL have a type of new signing coming right up>>>>FAZ will be back and chomping at the bit!!!

Joe H will be back too - both rested and both ready to go

The new guy - well lets be honest we saw 10 mins of him.....

On the formation front - If there was some way of getting Rosco to actually play as a Centre Forward we would be better placed but at the moment he is going looking for the ball

I would not have this season any other way right now.......Get a result Tuesday and we will be 3 points ahead with 2 games in hand!!!

It is in our hands......

I think the fact he played Fraser suggests De'Reece wouldnt have played for the rest of the season. Orient therefore farm him out to a club in the lower reaches of a similar league. De'Reece did ok but did get targeted and got out of position a few times. He was excellent in the air and when he was in position and he did ok but no better than Barney and Connor. When we had youngsters at right back the other teams targeted them as a weakness, Daisy has rectified that by putting Fraser there, who was arguably our man of the match on Saturday.. so job done i think.

Of course we miss out on Faz going forward and still able to get back but hes arguably the best right back in the league so anyone would miss that. Fraser did more than decent on Saturday.

We do need another couple of players - whether the budget will stretch to that is another matter.  Poor Ross is playing out of his skin but he is knackered and being kicked all over the place.  I think Jamie has recognised that we need another, good, striker to take the pressure off of Ross, but getting one is obviously proving difficult.

Incidentally, I thought Fakinos (spelling?) did enough in the few minutes he was on the pitch to suggest that he is going to be a very good player for us - two superb crosses (one leading to the goal) and the first one, an incredible turn on a five pence piece (a number of readers will not remember a sixpence!) to put over such a great ball that would have taken many players at least four yards turning room.  As for wide players, we have them - Malakai, Barney, the young lad at Thamesmead, TFJ.  There seems to be a drive to increase the playing budget - ie buckets at home matches  - so, if we are to bring in a player or two, let's fill those buckets (with cash!).

Whatever the difficulties, this team will never give up - much to the frustration of our rivals.

Totally agree with JGFC.

Ffs we're top of the league with 3 games in hand and we're in that position because of the determination of the squad.

Sure we'd like some more top quality players, lets ask AVB if we can have Bale and Lennon on loan. It's about as realistic as getting a decent player in on loan at this stage of the season.

Have faith in Jamie and the boys.

I'm not knocking the team - it has pulled up tree stumps to get where it is.  And that is the point - we have an exhausting run of seven away games, two of them involving trips to Bath and Truro in the same week and a weary schedule of two games a week for a while.  It must take a toll on our players - even if they are supremely fit.  That is why I am suggesting ( and Daisy obviously agrees if you read his programme notes) that we need another player to take up some of the burden if, and only if, we have the money to do it.  Hence the collection buckets.

Chris,

It's alright saying that we should be dipping our toe in the loan market but most clubs want players wages covered by the team signing them on loan. Regarding Loick..

1) Do you think that we have anywhere from £400-£600 per WEEK! to cover Loick's wages?

2) As good as he can be on his day, his performance against us for Boreham Wood a few weeks ago was poor and based on that i don't think he would improve the team.

3) Do we know if Jamie wants Loick back?

Our budget is small compared to some of the big spenders in this league and Jamie and the players have performed miracles to get us where they have. I'm happy now that we are sticking to a strict budget than the overspending from the Ford-era which led to huge debts.

I too would love for us to be able to go out and get 3 or 4 extra players to help with the promotion push, but the fact is that we do not have the resources to be able to do this. Hopefully Faz and Joe will be back over the next 2-3 weeks which will help.

We are still top of the league and if any Welling supporter had been offered this position at the start of the season they would have taken it. Our performances over the last few weeks havn't been great, but we are not going to win every game and all we can do is support the team as much as possible.

I was shocked by some of the comments i was hearing behind the goal on Saturday, people slagging players off is not going to help! The performances already this season have been good enough to give the players a bit of le-way as far as im concerned. Just to highlight, we are TOP of the league with three games in hand, we set a new league record of TWELVE wins in a row, We have the BEST goal difference and we have scored MORE goals than any other team! Yet people are criticising "under-achievers" and asking the club to spend money that isn't there. Not that bad really is it?

3 points tomorrow night (if the game is on) along with 2 wins over Billeracy and Truro and everyone will be happy again.

Awooga! and up the Wings!

Dean

Think we need to remember a guy called Luis Cumbers at this point. Not his fault he got injured but I presume we are still paying him so effectively one dead weight on the budget for most of the season. Connor McClaren... don't know whether he is in the same situation but if so that is two players budgets we are carrying.

If you as most chairman who have been in the game any length of time they will always say managers are claiming they are just one more player short of their ideal team if they are doing well. The Chairman will observe he is probably one player over budget already.. We are probably no different!

IF extra money is raised for the team AND the management team consider they need someone in I presume they will act. They have not done too bad thus far. You also have to remember should we get promoted what practical implications that has on this group of players. If there is a person to complete the picture, will they be straight out the door again? Can you get a loanee that buys in to the last 6 weeks or one just turning out because his parent club want him out of the way.

What is the material difference between just falling over the line and winning by ten points, other than a few stress free weeks at the end of the season. If you want stress, remember some of the last day survival efforts! If we do get promoted we will need every penny we have next year to make a decent attempt at staying up so why start with a handicap?

This team and management are good, lets believe in them to get what is needed for the rest of the season and do our bit off the pitch. There are no gimmes, however if I had offered you a team at the start of the season with no Cumbers that had won 12 straight at one point, that and was top with 3 games in hand with 11 games to go, would you believe that that team ought to be good enough to complete the deal if most of them were fit? Personally, I would if it was Welling or anyone else....

Logical as always, Staff, and I agree with you.  You will see that we have lost De Reece Vanderhyde, so, if the manager wanted him to stay for the season we are one player short! On the question of loan players not buying in to our struggle (comrade), Daisy has a damn good track record of bringing in loan players who do sign up to our cause.

Gordon Ramsay voice.... "wow"

Muzza people have been putting into boost the budget for 2 seasons, maybe just maybe and i dont know but  we may have some players playing for small money or maybe With Cesc and Jake Reid signing it goes towards them?

If you are putting in enough each week to sign a new player then i salute you and maybe Jamie can discuss with you which player to sign to see if that satisfys you.

Guess what nothing? Apart from Cesc and Jake Reid? or you want a third player for your money?

A higher league club have just said on their official site that they have loaned us a striker, so hopefully there will be news later if it goes through.

If Fraser was a good enough right back why get De'Reece in in the first place? Thats wasting money which I know myself and Chris have put in to BTB.

Boost the budget as far as I am aware is already (maybe partially) going to paying an extra player...whether that be Connor.....De Reece...OR now Jake Reid who i guess will not be with us for nothing at all

Jake is probably THAT player.......

Well I'm sure you'll all be delighted to hear that I've cheered up somewhat from yesterday.

blankstare

I still think Loick would have been an ideal signing and that the money could have been found for him somehow(the club, wusa, btb).

But we've now got a striker with a hardworking attitude to take the strain off of Roscoe's back towards the end of this long, hard season. And hopefully he's got a bitter taste in his mouth about what they've been saying about him on the Telford forum.

We've now got 8 games in 29 days, of which 6 of the sides are in the bottom 7.

Win 6 of those and I'll be happy.

'Cos we'll be champions.
