Hi,

As some of you that have me on facebook may have seen i am going to Australia over December & January to watch the Ashes series. I am travelling with a charlton fan and we are planning to take a customary England flag (as you do) and obviously have 1 charlton badge and 1 Welling United badge. In my bid to get the Welling United logo broadcast around the World and recognised down under I also plan to take plenty of vintage welling shirts ... I've been rumagging through my old clothes and the 4 shirts amazingly still fit me (i did use to be a weeeee bit chubby!!!). I am on the look out in the loft for more shirts, i know i've got a few somewhere!!!

Just wanted to know if there is anywhere or anyone that would have any old vintage welling shirts that i could take with me and hopefully get the wings badge in some good shots in pictures and on TV broadcasted over the world!

Nearer the time i'll post a picture of the flag to look out for (still awaiting it to be made).

Anyway .... Up the wings!

Regards,Miniwelling shirts.JPG

I wore my Welling baseball cap to the Daytona 500 this year and got asked by a few locals what it was. Can't say they were that interested when I mentioned soccer though.

I was out in Melbourne during the 2002 Ashes series and wore the Welling blue away kit which was received more favorably.

Melbourne is probably my favorite city in all the world and I'm sure you'll enjoy it especially the beer.

I have an big England flag with Welling United written across it. If I can be bothered I take it to England games and hang it up to promote the club - look out for it at Montenegro in two weeks time

if you want to take that with you let me know and I'll lend it to you
