A typical banana skin game where we need to guard against going through the motions or starting slowly as they will be physical and at us early on... on a pitch that has been dodgy this season and will probably be heavy. If we come out up for it we should be able to get on top and get another big 3 points. Would be good to get as many as possible there on Saturday to get behind the boys and keep up the good run.
We beat them at home so we know if we do our stuff we are more than capable of getting a good result.

Considering they've just had a good spanking from havant it makes the start all the more important. Get at them, get a goal up and their heads might drop. Otherwise it will be the usual timewasting from 20 minutes until halftime and then the whole of the second half.
COYW-let's show them no mercy!

They ve played 17 games away and only 13 at home. Think they may be in a little bit of a false position. They are dreadful away, but average at home. No easy game this.

Five of our away games are against teams either threatened by relegation or struggling to get away from the drop zone teams. As the Hornchurch result at Chelmsford demonstrates tonight, none of these game will be easy - in fact, traditionally we seem to struggle against these teams. Forget a good football spectacle, at this stage of the season results are all that matter. If we have to play ugly and battle to grind out a result, then so be it.
So I fear, heavy rain expected from tomorrow evening all through the night and into Saturday morning. Let's hope not. A big crowd is expected apparently
Chap visiting shop on Tuesday was saying they are looking for a 1000+ crowd. Seems (not checked this) they have not had a Saturday home game so far this year and are in need of a big turnout.
I think Roscoe could well be rested for this. Mystic nose.
Possibly - he'll certainly be rested sometime soon. I think he's more likely to be rested for Bath and/or Truro as (according to Daisy's interview) Jake Reid lives in Bristol, so would make sense to play him and save Ross travelling all that way.

So we are going for the title and have two tough away games with a lot of travelling and we leave our top goalscorer at home??
Ross might need a breather (he might argue that he doesn't) but there is no way he wouldn't be part of the 16 man squad in my humble opinion.
Would be tempted to keep starting Ross and if we get in front get him off after an hour if we can. Definitely would have him in the squad even if rested as you never know when you will need him. Hes been a brute this season and always gives everything.

Just looking at the weather forecast and I have to say it looks grim. Bearing in mind the amount of freezing/wet weather recently on a no doubt already saturated pitch I would think there must be some doubt whether the game will go ahead.
Why does he need a rest? Don't the others need a rest as well?
I suspect he's played more minutes than any other player this season. Plus he has an incredible work rate and covers every blade of grass, and gets lumps kicked out of him several times each and every game. Credit to him, he's hard as nails and just bounces back up and gets on with it. For that reason I suspect he probably doesn't want to miss a game, but Daisy has hinted that he'll be rested.
I personally wouldn't rest him. I remember when Daysy rested himself a couple of seasons ago away at St Albans so he wouldn't be suspended for the play-offs. We lost 1-0 and didn't make the play-offs

That was one of the most frustrating Welling games I can remember - I think we had three goals disallowed
Does she live near their ground? I wonder if their crowd will go up (tomorrow and in the future) based on flyering the local residents. What a good idea,....

I may be missing something but it hasn't been that wet this week and it hasn't rained that hard today (ok in Surrey) and the wind may help dry the ground. It's a bit like Tuesday when I couldn't understand why the game would be "inevitably off"

Typical, Billericay has just brought in three new signings in time to face us including a French league 2 central defender from Hemel Hempstead and Alfie May (of the May clan) from Kent League Corinthian.
My last game of the season tomorrow as i'm off to work abroard. Been great going to the games this season and met lots more wings this season than in all the years I have been going I think. 3 points and hopefully a performance to enable a rendetition of rabbit youghrt. COYW
