That is crazy! dont think i've ever seen a fixture list that bad! have noticed in the lower leagues how many games in hand teams have got obviously lot due to the weather, i saw 9 games in hand in one league!
Just imagine a Prem League team doing that? no chance!
I notice if they make the FA Vase final their season is extended.
To think Fergie complained the other day his squad of 25 internationals were tired. Imagine the travel these Guernsey players are having to do ... every away game involved a plane journey, and they play three games in 48 hours at one point.
Just had a look at their forum. They have had (so far) 33 re arranged games this season.
A true community club. This Saturday in their Vase game Standard Charter is to donate £1 for every spectator to be split between 3 cancer charities. They are looking for a crowd of around 3000.

How much do you think Spennymoor will get from that gate? Don't judge every book by its cover.

Yep, by one whole day. How kind of the FA to allow that.
If they do get to the final which is on a Saturday they have a league game the next day on the Sunday and another league game which would be the extended one on the Monday.
Apparently the players don't get paid, it costs £250000 a year to run the club funded by the community. Oh and they also have to pay the visiting teams expenses, a condition of their entry into the league!
I notice their home game against Farnham Town was postponed yesterday due to a waterlogged pitch. They were due to be at home this afternoon to Raynes Park Vale. I don't know whether that match has taken place. They still have thirteen matches to play, nine of them at home. With only weekend matches allowed at home, any more postponements and they'll be having to play two matches in a day!
GFC can confirm that former England International Matt Le Tissier is registered with the club. The former Southampton star and GFC President signed playing forms for the Combined Counties club earlier in the season.
