Firstly fantastic title winning performance yesterday! However, and I'm aware we are going on the basis that Salisbury win, the squad for next weekend is looking incredibly thin- especially in defence. Maybe someone can shed some light off tell me I'm wrong but with Jake suspended, Ben Martin suspended, Obo and Barney injured and Jamie sheepish on the fitness of Faz how is our defence shaping up?? I make it we have 2 recognised defenders for the final two games?!?! Would that be right or wrong? Someone tell me I'm wrong and cheer me up!!

We will have a defence. Faz is unnatural, two training sessions is fine for him. Craddock can play or play Faz left back and Cesc or Kiernan Right .
Or Fraser right Kinchy at center half.
less disruptive if wee play Craddock, More experience but more changes in style if Kinchy plays. Odds on Craddock or Bohdan...playing left back, if Bohdan is registered.

Kiernan could play right wing back in future...and cover at full back in an emergency , great tackler after Gallagher probably our best... Pace... Work rate.. funny how you poo poo that but Faz was Converted. But given your digs at players, I will not ridicule you, consider yourself educated...... Again.
we are talking for one game, not Kiernan is the next Gary Neville.

Patronising and arrogant as ever, I see. I can't say I've ever read one of your posts and thought "Oh, I've learnt something about the game of football there". I do, however, thank you for your concern and your attempts to further my "education". I'd advise you to stop though - I know you'd be livid if I used your tutelage as an excuse to get in to PVR at a discounted student rate!
Its all well and good having those attributes, but not if said player has never played that position and isn't familiar with the intricacies of marking, holding the defensive line etc...And considering Kiernan was considered a striker when he signed, and is still trying to familiarise himself with the right wing position as it is - beating the man on the outside, getting to the byline and whipping a cross in, it is not unreasonable of me to suggest that moving him to rightback might be asking a tad too much. Faz was converted at age 25 when he'd had far more experience of the game as a whole, and also a greater appreciation of the demands on a fullback as a result of his years spent on the wing. I would rather see a "lesser" player who has actually played at full back be given a chance, or put Kinch at centre back with Franks at rightback.
Fear not though, in future I shall hang onto your every word and treat your every opinion as gospel, rather than express my own opinion on a democratic forum.

Thats a fair point, kudos for that. But a tackle isn't an open play actuality its a contest usually between two people unless it was Rutherford or Parry would usually take out the midfield with one tackle.

Stastically as Anne Robinson would say Kiernan is the best tackler but has made 48 less tackles than Jake and is just higher in success rate. Happy to have surprised you Muzza. Faz is next in the list. Do you know a match usually has less than 7 tackles? I do love a bit of conversation with the people who slag off the players and post garbage mostly for no reason.
Not really any need for that is there? Just cos Ashford has done you up like a kipper!
LOL shall i list every post of yours slagging off half the squad by name and the gaffer for his formations when you wernt even there???. Turned out to be bang on didnt they, those posts haha. You are so negative, your critiques of players abilities is poor, Your slagging off and naming players has been proved idiotic . At least you get full marks for popping out of any of your cliques backside when they start having disagreements on here.
You only post to slag people off, be negative or argue. Its very yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn

Yes, I keep having big swings between optimism and concern. Defensively we are thin on the ground but we looked as though we could score for fun yesterday so maybe we are looking for a 5-5 draw. I'm not convinced Salibury will win their next 2 either.
Salisbury have 3 left and I dont think they will win all those either
On the defence,,,,,I think Faz will play and Fanny Craddock is a defender AND Midfielder from what we know so i think that will be the 4 with Fraser and Ant!!
At least Roscoes bookings will have been wiped so he will be there for the last two games
We will stay attacking as we were on Saturday and gve them plenty to think about
I'm not worried. We will get a point from two games and if not, will salisbury win all 3? Not impossible for salisbury but we are a very good side easily capable of a point. Relax people. We are top and have been top for a reason.
Craddock- the kid on work experience who has probably never played against men before. My opinion on him would be why not give him 20/30 minutes yesterday when the game was done and dusted if we knew he was going to play next week? Give the lad a chance to get use to it before he plays in a massive season defining game!!

I'm not worried either. Weston came full of confidence yesterday and they caused few problems for our back four. If the midfield and strikers play like that for the last two games our defence won't have too many concerns.
Are we able to call back Joe Obersteller to bolster the squad if necessary?
No, not worried. We have two players who have played left back, two who have played right back and four who have played in central defence including a strapping midfielder who played centre half for two teams. Besides, we have forwards who can score at will.
Obbo out for season, detached retina, Daisy says he wont play
But his brother, Joe, is on dual registration isn't he? I wouldn't expect him to start but wouldn't mind seeing him as back up on the bench. He looked decent enough last autumn.
We will vastly out number the home support next week...it is time to give them EVERYTHING from the terraces....lets not leave anything in the locker.....I cant wait......It has been a LONG time and now it is 'nearly' there
We will have a defence. Faz is unnatural, two training sessions is fine for him. Craddock can play or play Faz left back and Cesc or Kiernan Right .

who is bohdan? a reserve team player or something?
having Obo, JoeBo, McLaren, Barney, Martin, Jake and possibly Faz out is ridiculously unlucky, we will get one point from two games though and Salisbury won't win all theirs anyway. Calm down all.
Always thought Daysy would make a decent right-back in the twilight of his career, next Saturday obviously isn't the time to try that out though
Ashford Wing, when I give two ****s what you say I will read that essay and give you my considered opinion on your accurate assessment of players at this l evel. You may have a long wait.

No its you have a history of posting crap and have shown you are clueless and its a case I genuinely can't be bothered to read your post. Apologies if that hurts your feelings.

Surprised KHM is our second best tackler but that's coming from a man that anaylizes every game in great detail! Great fact!

Now I'm not saying this is my opinion - I'm not allowed to express that. BUT a sceptic would say that KHM has a high tackling success rate because he only goes in for the tackles he knows he can win.

Can we please forgot ideas like Kinch at centre half and KHM at full back or any changes in formation to a back three blah blah blah...
Granted we may need to play one square peg in a round hole but that is it. We have two good centre halfs in Franks and Acheampong and that is where they should play. We hopefully have our best right back fit and raring to go. Craddock sounds like a verstile lad who is left footed so maybe he can slot in at left back (although I agree that we might have seen twenty minutes from him on Saturday to see how he went?) However the manager knows a player when he sees one and Connor and Barney have both been exceptional this season so why not "Fanny" as well??
The front six we had out on Saturday (plus the two wide men on the bench) can terrify any team at this level and is good enough to get the job done.
