I think that is a decision made by the FA Leagues committee which obviously does involve the Conference.  The Conference Board, I think, would have been sifting through issues concerning existing clubs and those finishing in promotion or relegation positions in the three Conference competitions.  I would have thought that recommendations would then be made as proposals to be put before the Conference AGM on 8th June and relevant clubs notified. My money is on Stockport County, a former Football League club, well-supported home and away, winning the AGM Cup but at whose expense?

Some Stockport fans think they may get a reprieve.

Latest signing by Stockport County seems to suggest that they know they are staying up.

Stockport supporters seem to be celebrating on their message board.
