Now there's a surprise with Varney on board! Thought it might be Hessenthaler wonder if he fancies being a No. 2 ha ha or Forster perhaps double ha ha. Brown was a very good player and I imagine very professional in his approach.
Id be staggered if an unproven manager could manage a budget like that and the type of players that the money would bring.
Weve seen before Chelmo, Dover, Eastleigh etc etc throw money at BSS recently, without all the other clubs that went **** or bust or who were taken over. Now Ebbsfleet are trying it with an unproven Manager?? By backers who have property connections? Good luck, no tears.
I dont see much due dilligence and i cant help feel that there will be lots of s******ing in the months ahead when either they lose their ground, club or status and get tossed on the heap. They seem like they are happy to get on the rollercoaster and try and buy leagues.

Though it's a somewhat different budget Daisy was also unproven when appointed, arguably more so than Steve Brown who has at least been a number two. From what I've observed of his charactor I think he'll do a good job and is not the sort of person to stand for any nonsense. Knows the Dover lads for a start. That said at the moment they have Dover players that didn't get promoted and Ebbsfleet players that got relegated ha ha!
Shame about Lorraine but hopefully Acheampong and Franks will stay. Hope the budget isn't so stretched that we can't afford a quality third centre half of some description after letting Martin go.
Yes - as well as he did for us I think BSS is his natural level and he's not getting any younger.
Seem to remember a few weeks ago seeing a quote from Daisy saying we were looking at bringing in a midfielder (Dyer has since signed) and a centre back.
