Haven't  seen anything from the main site, or on here, but the Eastbourne Herald say that the Kuwaiti group that is in talks with G&N, first rejected Eastbourne after detailed talks, then they were rejected by Welling, before heading to Ebbs. Glad we remain a small family club.

Mmm... I'd take that with a pinch of salt. Trying to take us over would be quite a complicated process as a CIC.

Nice of Eastbourne to say that, Maybe Welling rejected it for same reasons as Eastbourne did (if there was any offer) , no long term future guaranteed?

Weve seen loads of clubs throwing money and going tits up less than ten years later.

Would imagine Welling will have their say about the alleged offer. now someone is plastering it in the press.

I thought the reason it was rejected by Eastbourne was because they would not gurantee a long term future, so that in mind if true its goor we rejected that,

I worry for Ebbsfleet future long term

Can't see Ebbsfleet as a sound investment. Strange idea. Are they still going to sign a load of Spanish & South American youngsters? Would love to see them try and play against a hard physical side like Eastleigh.

Interesting that the man who has just taken over as chairman is Dr Abdulla Al Humaidi. He is also chairman of Armilla Capital who on there website claim they...

"Are working on securing prime commercial and real estate opportunities in South-East England"

Maybe i'm being a bit cynical but that ground is a very large site near train stations with high speed rail links to London....

Interesting conspiracy, bit far-fetched though. It would be like putting a manager in charge of an England side who could cherry pick players for his own club side........
