With the annual Charlton season opener Only five weeks away, can

I ask how much admission will be for the home friendlies? Will 15 quid put a few people off for the friendlies?

It should be the same price as a league game....we will get plenty there.....Having said that I would like to see it reduced for 'lesser' teams

Think Friendlies should be a tenner. We rely on Charlton sending their first team and getting 2000 plus in. Rather than getting a few good friendlies like we did before when we used to get Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal X1s. If you have a few better friendlies you can lower the prices across the board.

If you have one decent friendly and a couple of "meh" friendlies you cant reduce your top friendly as you are losing chunks of money, the other two are 600-1000 gates and people will swerve them as mostly its kids and stiffs.

Weve only got one Saturday friendly this season when we are probably trying to get some funds in the kitty... I feel we dont help ourselves in pre season generally.

Theyve been appearing on here. Millwall one seems to have disappeared.

Hopefully there is a celebration game being worked on with a strong decent side to mark the 50 years.

Agree the price of pre-season games is too much! like been said a tenner at the most for a adult!

And i know the Wings have got to compete for next season with ticket prices but i do think £15 is too much! it's probarly been said before but you can go down charlton for a fiverr more! It's not going to put me off going down PVR, but for others who may do the odd game now and again think one weekend i'd like to go Welling and see a bit of Conference footie might be surprised i feel with the prices!

What do you guy's think?

We will be among the cheapest in the BSP at £15...I think some we will go to will be over £22 to get in the gorund....we have to be paying loads more to for coaches for long journeys, more kit (remember names on the back of the shirts)....hotels etc etc and not least a load more stewarding and maybe police for certain games.

I am happy with the price.....we have to maximise the money from the bigger away followings too

Thats the price of going up I guess.......We cannot and also shouldnt compare ourselves with Charlton as it is a completely different story....MOST people support one or the other...only a very few do both and then normally come to PVR when Charlton are away

Excellent post Mark (there I CAN say it!).

£15 is realistic for Conference Premier when one imagines what others will be charging.

Perhaps we are keeping a Saturday free for a "big name" friendly to mark our 50th anniversary Tom?

I can see that, and i didn't know some would be paying up to £22!

I understand, just was looking from the perspective maybe now cause of Welling getting noticed more in the area from what they have achieved last season more people will want to come out to see them play but maybe be shocked and put off at having to pay £15!!

Who knows, i'm probably wrong HA!

Cant wait for the new season!!

It could be worse

16 July - Dover v Hastings
20 July - Dover v Hornchurch
23 July - Whistable v Dover
10 August - Brackley v Dover

Think £15 should be the price for a seat at Welling next season. Personally I'm hoping little will change. The Grimsby fans were very impressed with the non-segregation and happy to have a good chat. Remember, this is still non-league football and the Welling approach with end changes and the like should be conserved if at all possible.
