Theres a bit to do, but the guy editing the theme has handed it over now for it to be filled out and updated. Paul White has already added loads of content and is still adding it in addition to all his commercial work.

I understand National Australia Bank have sponsored the new website. Fair dinkum.

Much better than pitchero i think as the club have full control over everything.

Much better than the pitchero site. Great to see a link to the forum, too.

Are you using an ice cream tub and windows95 to view it Mark?

First two pages? Theres a splash screen then it goes to the main site. You maybe viewing old cached versions of the things the designer was trying out.

Looks very good! I like the new features. The online shop will be handy once that's up and running. My only disappointment is seeing that WingsTV will now cost £43 for the season or £6 a month. I can understand why we're charging for the service, as the free highlights were probably deterring people from actually coming through the gates, even if it did attract new support to the club. However £43 seems a little steep when Premiership and Championship clubs offer the same service for roughly the same price.
Other than that, full marks.

One post only on this from me. Perfectly acceptable to post concerns and opinions regarding WingsTV, However a reality check is also needed. Check out video hosting costs for business...

The costs to us or a premier league side are the same to stream, they have HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of fans to sell it to.. We have 600, To offer the service for less than them i believe should get praise... not be called a bit steep.

People are signing up to WingsTV and its only been open to sign up for less than a day. So people obviously value the service which also included highlights dvds in the bar and what theyve had for 3 seasons.

People should also know i turned down a blue square premier side last year who offered 150 a game, to stay filming at Park View Road unpaid and with expenses covered by me including travel,  Some would call that idiotic. when it is turning down being paid.... to pay to film. The equipment when i bought it was nearly 3k, ive already paid for some repairs and more are needed before the season kicks off.

To continue to be able to provide WingsTV in good quality and to cover some costs it was needed to be subscription as the club would not be paying, Many other clubs, even at a lower level pay to have games filmed, there are at least 6 or 7 in BSS alone. It has cost a hell of a lot of money in equipment, repairs and travel over 3 years all at my own expense without the appx 2000+ hours in filming and editing all at no cost to the club or payment to me or expenses covered or contributed to. With subscription there is still no cost to the club.

Despite being offered sums by companies to sponsor WingsTV next season , none finalised their offers with payment this summer. You can be sure we will try and bring excellent value and go above and beyond in providing a quality WingsTV service as we have for 3 years.

If anyone has any issues or questions please email wingstv@wellingunited.com . I will not be responsing in this thread so if you have a question, email.

PS its not 42.99 is it, theres a voucher code there for sign ups before 6th July.

For those signing up, thank you.

I'll be subscribing. My main concern was other teams were getting free scouting videos!

Two clubs oedered no youtube highlights last season in the prem, One of them was Daish. He felt that as many had a subscription service it was unfair and gave oppo teams easy access to watch his team whilst he couldnt watch the oppo (unless he signed up for all of their video services).

There are a lot of clubs in this league that use "player" and are members only and subscription. Including.. Grimsby, Macclesfield, Cambridge United... a lot of the ex league clubs are subscription.

Looks good.

One minor point that's doing my OCD in: the pre-season fixtures across the top are in reverse order - any chance we can flip them round?

I like the appearance and am looking forward to the content increasing. It is far better than the Pitchero offerings.

My one concern is that every time the official website changes, we lose all the archives. I like looking back over previous seasons (sometimes for research and others just out of interest) so miss the easy access to these records.

I have a feeling this is something to do with the pitchero site going as the website address was redirecting to pitchero. New site has always been fine for me, not slow and can click on what i want. Hopefully it wil right itself over the next day or so.

Site works great for me, well done to those involved. One thing i just discovered is that if you go to our BBC sport page and click the link for official site it tries to go to the old pitchero site. I'm sure a e-mail to the relevant person could sort this.
