We don't care what the Woking say.

Oh wait...

The only purpose forums serve is for people to give their worthless opinions and to get into pointless arguments.

It weren't even as much as 1430. It was just over 1000, even with out modest support. There was no hoofball today. All my Woking supporting friend could blame the defeat on was dodgy refereeing decisions, which he admitted came after they were 3 nil down.

Dear Woking Fans,

So sorry that little Welling United had the audacity to beat you again today.  I can understand your frustration at your poor recent record against us.

I understand that there has been much talk on message boards, Twitter, etc. that Welling are a hoofball team with barely any fans, and that the club are vastly inferior to Woking in every way.  I just thought I'd clarify a few points:

·         Hoofball is something that Welling United could have been guilty of 20 years ago (well, it kept us in the Conference for many years), but this has not been our style for several years now. We do tend to hit longer passes more often against Woking, but that's because we know you can't defend it for toffee.  I note that there was rather a lot of hoofing from the Woking players today, so this anti-hoofball snobbery is ridiculous - you are not Barcelona, you are Woking

·         I appreciate that our attendance at home matches isn't as much as yours; you did have a whopping 1430 people there today, after all.  I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you break the league attendance record with support like that.  Such attendance is impressive when you consider the amount of big clubs in your catchment area; we only have small clubs such as Charlton, Millwall and West Ham within a few miles of us

·         I remember Woking pre-1990, before Tim Buzaglo got people jumping on the bandwagon. Your support was akin to Boreham Wood

·         You have been so unlucky against us in recent years, what with all the nasty referees being on Welling's side every match.  We all know that Woking are a slick, passing side and Welling the physical bullies; clearly, your three red cards in your last three matches were obvious refereeing errors

I offer my profound apologies for your latest defeat at the hands of little Welling United.

75 was about right, the same amount we took on the short journey to Chester.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unlucky, top trumps say that Welling taking 82 to Wrexham wins, Wrexham is further. Little Welling take more away than Woking FACT. Its not their day is it.

Proving the number of away fans at an unsegregated game is in many ways akin to proving if there is a God or not.

Here we go.  They lose 4-2 and the debate switches to (a) hoofball, (b) referees (c) "cheating", "diving" Wings players (d) our away following (e) how they were so much better than us anyway - err apart from that first half hour when we scored three and took our foot off the pedal.  If they embraced good grace we could be magnanimous.

One Woking fan has at least acknowledged that "their number 10 was very good". As have all of our previous opponents on their forums after games. When we've started off so well there are quite a few players who you can single out for praise, but Roscoe has carried on where he left off last season. Long may it continue.

I'm tipping Kurtis to be the star of the show and bag a couple of goals on Monday though smile

Woking forum hilarious they really are living in the past and forget we have beaten them regularly recently. The worst team we have played this season and all their fans hugely entertaining especially in the pub being told to go back to our garden city,

For any club to say the opposition is the worst they have played, whilst shipping four goals at home, is either a lie, sour grapes, or written by a madman. Woking were poor yesterday and I am sure they are capable of far better, that is the reality, not that we were as terrible as they make out.

Poor teams don't win 4-2 away from home. As with our fans at times, and football fans in general, it is often the opposition or the referee being crap, or any excuse other than their own failings. Woking didn't play to their best and we beat them, simple. Well done Welling.

Also, 'worst team they have played this season' doesn't really mean much after four games does it, especially when they have only won one of them. Morons.

If we are the worst team they have played so far they better hope that there are a lot that are worse than us or they will be getting beat every week. Goals win games we scored 4 no matter how we played in their opinion they got two. The maths is simple 3 points to us.

Giving Woking fans the benefit of doubt, it could well be that they have only seen us play long and percentage football against their team.  We know we can play better, pretty-looking football.  It is horses for courses.  If we know we can beat Woking by adjusting our play to an historically successful method, then why change tactics to please Woking fans? Jamie has always said that we will not play pretty football every match, the game plan always changes against particular teams.  In the case of Woking it works - and we scored four goals.

Woking supporters are just bitter losers. Welling do not play hoofball and are quite obviously a superior club with more intelligent supporters. Hilarious comment about go back to your garden city ?? Wrong place totally, are Woking supporters stupid? Also on the Woking board Welling is described as being a hell hole, full of boarded up shops and establishments selling fried chicken. Don't know where this is but obviously they are confused with somewhere else. Also a stupid reference to the BNP which hasn't been in Welling for years, I didn't even know that the bookshop was there until the media started going on about it, but its long gone and good riddance too.
