Grassroots Football funding- Government E-Petition

Those who listen to BBC Non-League Football Show will know about this already.

However for those who don't, David Crausby MP has started an E-Petition for the Premier League to hand 7.5% of it's £Billion TV rights money towards funding grassroots football. Although it is unlikely this will happen as Parliament seem to be in the pockets of big business nowadays, should the E-petition reach 100,000 signatures then it has to be debated in Parliament!

This alone would be a huge achievement, and would put massive pressure on the FA to increase funding for Non-League football. You can sign the petition via the link below. Thanks.

I think that some of the above is slightly wrong ...ie David Crausby is BACKING the petition also the article was done in FEB 2013 so its already 6 months old.
plus it seems the petition has cherry picked the big figures from Dan Roan's words.

I may be wrong on this an if I am then I apologise but here is a link to the Original Article and Please make your own minds up BUT even though I support a Premiership club AS WELL as the WINGS I agree that more money should be handed down.

It states on the website and was stated on the Non-League football show that the petition was started by David Crausby.

It start in February but it's not had any publicity which amazes me as I thought the NLP would cover this.
