John Still trying to make it sound like we're almost equal clubs!
He said: Its funny how people look at it with us being full time, but the so-called part-time club train three times a week and we only train one more day than that."
Full time hasn't got anything to do with it in my book. They get average crowds thousands more than us with a squad than can rotate at will. Any injuries - they've got back up, any suspensions - they've got back up. To be fair he does say a couple of nice things as well.
He's virtually lifted the comments straight from the Lincoln boss' local press piece last week inasmuch as he's almost justifying why there's not much between our clubs.
Yeah, right, guys! I just hope it motivates us even more.
As Danson said above, its not the training and the full-time playing that makes them fitter. Its the general layout of a full-time and a part-time players week. Almost all of our players have jobs as well as football, and the travel etc.
A full-time player might only train one day a week more, but he will more than likely rest all day the day before and/or after a game. A part-time player will be up at 6am and off to work. Imagine someone doing manual labour as a day job on the day before a match whilst the Luton players are having a lay-in until lunchtime and doing a spot of shopping.
