I was actually at Home Park last

week for the Dagenham game

and I'll do a mini-guide next week.

Basically, turn right outside the

station, go under the bridge and

keep going straight on up the hill

on Alma Road for a mile-and-a-half.

The ground is on the right just set

away from the main road.

Aren't you meant to go through the park or something?

No, Home Park is accessible from the main road. It's next to the Plymouth Life Centre.

He probably knows a short cut (which will soon become a very long cut....)

Afternoon all,

I lived in Welling in the 70s, 80s and early 90s, but now reside in Plymouth.

Sherpa is absolutely correct, it is about a 15-20 minute walk. Don't go through the park unless you want to go to the club shop. There is a weatherstons pub, The Brittania Inn at the top of Alma Road, but my advice is that if they are running the Fans Fest in the ground to go to that, for a fiver you get a pasty and pint, and they are always welcoming of opposition fans. It is worth checking with the main Greens fans forum PASOTI as to whether it is going ahead or not.

Have fond memories of Park View as my dad used to ref a lot of the pre-season games, or organise the other officials both for when it was Bexley United and then for you. Indeed, I ran the line at a few games myself.

I seem to remember the club was primarily run by two brothers, Hobbins (?). I think we dealt with Barry who was Club Secretary and the other one whose name escapes me was the manager. Their dad was in the background for a while too. I am sure that their dad passed on, but are the brothers still associated with you?

Enjoy Saturday.

IF anybody hasn't booked their train tickets yet there is a WUSA eStore link for TheTrainLine.com

This will help raise quite a nit of money for WUSA, throughout the rest of the season and beyond if all the fans that travel away by train use the link.
