And so presumably we don't need to worry about the game on Tuesday?

Presumably so, FA competition matches take precedence - and, I think, unlike the FA Cup proper, the replays are held during the following week.  I hope so, because this is the best news for us on a challenging day.

Just seen on their site the replay is Tuesday, so more rest for the players before Saturday.

Gateshead won so you can cancel your pre-Christmas trips to Geordie land and look forward to a f***ing freezing Tuesday night there...

Hyde lost so we could rearrange that game again to Saturday 14 December (their scheduled opponents, Tamworth, are still in the Trophy).

QED but I bet it doesn't happen.

I still don't know why the Grimsby game wasn't set for the week that has just passed as it would not have clashed with any FA Cup / Trophy potential replay.

If Grimsby get knocked out on Tuesday can we go there on 14th December? As an alternayive, could we host Hyde on the Sunday? It would be good to avoid a fixture pile up in January.

Agreed, but given some of our key players out now, that will be back come January, its worth considering that too.

Who's to say we won't have other injuries / suspensions in January? Every time things look to be improving we get a new spate. Also, do we want lots of free time when we have three players on one month loans?

 It's on our Official Site.

The Welling United game in the Skrill Premier will now be played the following Tuesday (10th December).

Supporters who have  already purchased tickets for the original Welling date (3rd Dec) will be able to use them for the rearranged game.

Grimsby are 2-0 up so Blundell Park next Tuesday is looking more likely!

Why would that affect it, no Trophy games next week.

If we have agreed to next week it is just daft. If people could not get Tuesday and Friday off this week I doubt Friday and Tuesday will be met much more favourbly

Because had we both been knocked out, we could have played it on the Saturday of the next round!

It has now been confirmed as next Tuesday on the official website.

How would that have worked out then given Southport, who they were due to play, were also knocked out?
