What a rubbish bit of journalism. Refers to 4 reserves who played last week and says they will be involved tomorrow, maybe but only on the bench. They couldn't even be bothered to get a quote from Jamie.

See that Wrexham have their game on BT Sport, what a surprise!! Surely the BT Sport TV deal breaches EU Competition Law as they only cover certain teams and the allocation of money is skewed towards the so called big teams which is not fair. I wonder if a lot of the clubs who have not been shown are annoyed at how unfair this deal is. The total money for the TV deal should be split evenly amongst all 24 teams and maybe a bonus for the League Champions and Playoff Winners.

Pathetic isn't it - why bother!

Fair enough those clubs draw a larger TV audience one would suspect, but imagine if Sky then decided to literally show Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool every week and never Palace, Fulham, Stoke, etc.

I can understand it being weighted in favour of the "larger" clubs, but not to the extreme of completely ignoring the "smaller" clubs. I would be happy if everyone was featured once, even if that meant Wrexham etc for five or six games. At least then everyone gets a chance. Especially when we are doing so well in comparison to most of the press expectation before the season started.

I have recently emailed BT Sport expressing much of the above and giving them the opportunity to comment on such areas as attendances(atmosphere), facilities, gantries etc in an effort to get a better understanding as to where we stand compared to the Wrexham's of this world. I need not have bothered the reply back answered none of the questions and said absolutely nothing new. It goes as follows:

Hello Ron

Thank you for your Email about BT Sport.

I hope you find this information useful as it was recently put out in the media.

The Football Conference and BT Sport have agreed a two year deal for the new channels to show 30 live matches a season from the Conference Premier.  BT Sport will have live broadcasts from the grounds for 25 league matches, plus both legs of the play-offs, semi's and Promotion Final from Wembley, from the start of the 2013-14 season In August. The deal will bring live football from the 5th tier, immediately below league two, to a much wider audience than ever before, which will enable greater opportunities for marketing and sponsorship deals.

You can also find this information on the Welling united website. I would like to stress that BT Sport is new for us and we're committed to making it successful by providing as much content as possible that we think our customers will like. This involves talks and agreements as I am sure you can appreciate which take time to finalise.  The Chairman of the Football Conference is hoping like us, that this is the start of a long relationship so who knows where this will lead. I can assure you both us and them are hopeful for the future.

I can only advise that things have already started and are likely to only get better.  BT Sports is new and we're constantly looking to add to it. You can find out more at www.btsports.com.

Needless to say that a further email asking for more informed targetted comment appears to have dropped into the ether.  Perhaps somebody from the club should contact the chairman of the Football Conference and ask him/her exactly what is going on!

Can someone in a position of authority, either club or a WUSA rep, take this up? Its incredibly unfair that we don't get at least one game, even an away one. Their "template" reply above isn't worth the paper its written on.

It infuriates me when companies do that. Ron has taken the time to email them, then they just email back a cut and paste job from every other email they've replied with

The premier league has a rule that each side has to be shown at least twice. From the championship down to conference there are no such rules meaning it's at the broadcasters discretion. Not sure what the club or WUSA coukd do to change this, sod all I would guess!

I think we will just have to put up with it if they are not breaking any agreement. I'm sure we won't be the only ones!!

A good way to deal with this is to write back asking for your email to be forwarded to the chairman's office...or alternatively to someone capable of giving you a more detailed reply. Keep it all in the same thread. They don't like this, and if you don't give up it does tend to work!
