Not much has changed this season and BBC London have probably covered us more than Radio Kent! So this week a 3 page letter has gone to the BBC Trust along with about 10 pages of BBC live commentaries pages and match reports that I've been keeping since August.

It references everything from the previous BBC complaint, transmitter coverage through to unbalanced match reports (when oppo managers get a voice after games from their local radio station).

Not sure if it will do any good but possibly not much else we can do.

Your never win, from their point of view Welling is a district in South East London and a part of the London Borough of Bexley.  but they cover our matches only when it suits them, lets just be pleased with the additional coverage.

I use to play for the county in another sport, and if you was from Greenwich / Welling area you was considered as outcasts.  Always been the way and I don't think it will change anytime soon.

What a defeatist attitude.
Well done GaryH, do let us know what comes back.

BBC London have covered two games, plus FAC, both league games was when there was the break for the internationals, it is the same for Barnet, with London having so many league clubs they are just not interested in non league football

BBC Kent have always covered us, apart from a short break in the late 90's stating the same reasons as now.

We banned them then, from covering our games against other Kent sides with the Dartford game coming up, I would be very disappointed if we did not ban them from this game

We are not allowed to ban them, BBC have the rights to broadcast live Skrill Premier games on their radio stations.

I do remember last time radio kent  came that the fans in the stand made loads of noise and slagged them off and shouted all the time... the BBC guys kept having to apologise to listeners....

I doubt anything will change but at least the BBC Trust should look into why we are not being covered by local radio.

BBC Kent say we're in London  - fine that's an argument the BBC have to have amongst themselves. BBC are meant to be fair and impartial. Just not happening. If you're a Dartford fan you'll get coverage of every game, including two sets of BBC commentary teams at one game! (local team plus Kent). We get none.

This is the double standards of BBC Kent they will briefly mention us & say well done Welling, but they wont cover matches, or I think do interviews anymore, although I hardly listen to it now, although they did play an interview with Barrie Hobbins, on surprise, surprise the day we Played Plymouth, surely if we are not their team they shouldn't even mention us apart from the classified results, they don't praise Southport, Luton etc

Well I'm not having it. It's cheating effectively as it offers unfair coverage, bias, and therefore higher profile, advertising, crowd pulling opportunities to our competitors that we are not afforded. Same with the BT television coverage. Perhaps more might like to complain as I and GaryH have

Please see this link

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25377205

Why, again, is there no comment or interview with the Welling manager? Perhaps you might review the recent games featuring Welling from the links on your own website - seems a constant problem throughout the whole season.

Historically we have been given the nonsense line from BBC Radio Kent that Welling are classed as a London club. Conveniently for them when we have larger profile games their opinion seems to change (clearly the geographical boundaries must as well).

If we are then to believe that Welling are covered by BBC London then I understand that there are a lot of football clubs in London and coverage of a relatively small one can't be a priority. However, the BBC is obliged to offer unbias, fair, even representation, and I cannot understand how you fail to do so when other clubs in the same division get extensive coverage compared to us. Additionally, having had someone at games representing the BBC (even if not employed directly by them), can get an opinion from one side of the fence (namely Wrexham manager in this instance), and not get the other side of opinion as well.

Can I suggest someone makes a decision as to whether we are Kent or London, and once that is done, someone has the decency to report evenly on a game involving two sides, not one.

Please do not insult myself and fellow fans with a generic reply apologising. Please advise how you intend to report differently in the future.

After yesterday's play-offs, they tweeted:

Thats it! @EUFCofficial host @DoverAthletic in the Conference South play-off final. We'll have a Kent team back in the Conference Premier.

I wouldn't mind them deciding we (and Bromley) were London if they were consistent, but if they believe Charlton Athletic and Blackheath (rugby) are within their area, then so are we.

I Tweeted them to remind them that Kent already had a Conference Premier side, the team that didn't get relegated, BBC Kent admitted yesterday that Sutton would not allow them to do commentary of the Sutton match, We should do the same next season or at least make it as awkward as possible for them.
They could not hide there delight of Ebbsfleet beating Bromley

They offer nothing positive to Welling and therefore we should exclude them. They'll want to visit once next season only, when we are playing at home to either Ebbsfleet or Dover, don't let them in.

According to their Twitter they couldn't do commentary due to technical problems. I'd be inclined to believe you over them though, I am pretty sure they were turned away, good!

They just replied to me that the signal wasn't strong enough. Liars. Probably as they dared to venture out of Kent.

In their defence, that tweet does not exactly say that there are not already any Kent teams in the Conference Premier, but that from the play off final there will be a Kent side progressing to the Premier. Personally I see us as a London club, but that's another argument for another time!!

If BBC Radio Surrey was already there, why would they need to be? Two BBC  commentaries would be a waste of license payers money!

Therefore it is highly likely to be accurate haha.
They claim technical difficulties, don't believe them for a moment. Someone somewhere is lying.
Ban BBC Radio Kent.

I listened to both those games. Both reports were done using mobile phones as 'the powers that be couldn't justify the extra cost of a radio car'.

Considering they wasted there budget on sending there own reporters to Nuneaton to commentary on already relegated Dartford, I find that unlikely Sutton is far closer & it was a bigger game, as I said I heard BBC Kent say on air that Sutton wouldn't let them do commentary, it was quite early in the game during a break in the Gillingham commentary

The BBC Website is showing that both BBC Kent & BBC Shropshire are doing commentary of Saturdays match, along with Dartford & Dover matches, are we back in Kent? or are they just teasing us?
