This morning, after battling cancer, our Dad - aka Oldcoach (Bill Fazakerley) passed away in Spain. Some of you have met him at games, he was a lifelong Liverpool fan,more recently a Welling fan too, a coach and referee, could be very boisterous and even argumentative at games - but totally passionate and committed to the sport. We will miss him.

Hello Richard.

So sad and sorry to read your sad post.  My thoughts are with you and the family.

We met a few times and he was a lovely and friendly man and will be missed.

Such sad news.  I never had the opportunity to meet him, but he will be missed from here and at PVR. My thoughts are with you and the family at this sad time.

I knew that Loui had been to Spain to see him over the Christmas period, but hadn't realised why until today.

Although I only met him once, I thought he was a real gent.

Thoughts are with you, Richard, and with Loui, Thandie and the rest of your family.

Thanks for all your comments, Jane, Loui and Thandi are there now. I wish I was able to make it over, but I did get to spend 3 weeks in Spain in October.
