Big game for various reasons. The rivalry against Woking. The need to pick up points after two appalling spectacles in the past week. Be good timing to get a win here, especially with Gateshead away next week and Alfreton on next saturday. Need to put the last seven days behind us and move on with the season, before we start to get sucked into trouble. Should be a good crowd, with Woking normally bringing a couple of hundred and Charlton being in Middlesborough. Hopefully, we can attract people to the club with a good win. No pitch inspection is planned according to Barry, so game is still on and so is the fight for the three points. Lets get this season back on track. COYW!

Chris, at the current time, the game is ON. Barry said there are no problems with the pitch so unless there is a major typhoon to hit welling within the next 4 1/2 hours, I think that's how it will stay

Woking had one sent off just before half time. Second booking.
Nil nil at half time, but we're the better team. Really need to capitalise on having the extra man now.
Woking could have had two players sent off. Another of their players got booked for studs very high and late on Hudson. Could easily have been a red on another day.
I don't know why the Woking defender gave away the penalty, but I won't complain. Guthrie was running away from goal, so there wasn't much danger. The defender had his arms wrapped around Guthrie and pulled him to the ground.
Even without the extra man Welling played well, when we play like that we look like a good team. I thought Harry played a lot better as Josh allowed him to play more of the attacking midfielder role.
Well done Jamie and Barry for getting them back on track :))
Today was the perfect response to Tuesday night. A solid performance from back to front and it got the job done. The only surprise was the amount of police lurking around!
we played so much better with harry playing just of rosco and sometimes it looked like we had a front 3 including kurtis was only going to be one winner after the sending of good to see some passion again tbh i thought doug and blaine looked very commanding at cbs and didnt seem to miss franks as much as i thought well played wings :)
I don't look tend at other teams forum's but are they being serious about the Penalty? Even most their team knew it was a penalty the way they moaned at the player who gave it away!
Great response from the players today. Controlled the game well. All Woking had was a long kick from the keeper and not a lot else. Can't really remember Butcher having to make a save.
Penalty shouldn't have been - bizarre decision to blatantly repeatedly pull back someone who was going away from goal, no wonder his colleagues didn't seem best pleased. It was far more like the Welling we've grown accustomed to this season, albeit Woking were desperately poor. If you need so many police why not segregate?
Highlights probably up tomorrow. Interviews with Jamie Day and Baily Cargill up later tonight.
Beautyman looks like he is fit and dangerous and hes got better every game now hes over his injury, He is going to cause some serious damage and looked the player weve seen in the past at Sutton today.
Harry got the MD Flooring Solutions man of the match today, Joe Healy got the National Australia Bank player of the match.
Not sure why their player went in on a challenge in the middle of the pitch to get booked (minutes before half time) when he was on a yellow? bizarre. As was the defender doing a WWF on Guthrie for the pen. Both times the ball was away from goal and no danger.
Woking half beat themselves today with some very strange tackles, tactics and fouls. Seemed they didn't know each other. Long may it continue.
Such a positive response from us though. I really thought we wouldn't get anything today. Harry was much livelier today, especially 2nd half, and we responded well.
