I've been on Twitter today with a Chester City fan who lives near their ground and he says the rain has been horrendous all day with more forecast tomorrow, does anyone know if a pitch inspection has been called for?

A friend of mine in Chester says it's been raining all day, but not so hard that he thinks the game could be in doubt. He reckons the pitch inspection is a precaution but would be surprised if it failed unless the weather worsened overnight.

Chester forum says no inspection planned - but flood warning for River Dee. Nothing on their website either. So I'm planning to take an inflatable dinghy on the train just in case.....

Arrived in Chester at 2pm and was raining steadily but not torrential. Racecourse clear of standing water bt haven't seen football pitch. Stopped raining by about 7pm but more due tomorrow. Could go either way but may be OK if their pitch drains well.

Apologies may of misunderstood me - when I go to get into Wings it says the server cannot locate - hence why I said that it maybe that there is a quantum of people accessing you and if you are in early enough you miss getting a slot on the server - if this makes sense but hopefully by logging onto the site now I may stand a chance today - thanks
