They're ambitious and have a budget. Not sure if they're full time wouldn't surprise me if they were. Don't think Jamie would have paid a fee for him. They have next to no chance of automatic promotion this year.

In hindsight perhaps the environment at Barnet was a bit ambitious for Anthony but it was full time football. Jamie really got the best out of him which he seems to be a master at.

But still have a great chance via the play-offs. Thrived with us and think he will be a great signing for Ebbsfleet. Sometimes things don't work out at a particular club - doesn't make him any less of a player and will always be a title winning legend at PVR

If Ebbsfleet want to financially ruin themselves (again!) that's up to them.

That's not a danger with their Kuwaiti ownership.

Have you heard Ebbsfleet owner 'Dr Abdulla Al Humaidi' being interviewed? He hasn't got a clue.

I remember him being interviewed by the BBC Non-League Football Show. At first he claimed he was a football agent. Then he claimed he wasn't. Then they questioned him on his finances based on the proposals he sent to Ebbsfleet, and then admitted some of the figures he submitted were inaccurate.

Although people say Peter Varney oversaw this, Peter Varney nearly sold Charlton Athletic to Sulaiman Al Fahim. The same guy that destroyed Portsmouth!...

My two predictions:

1) Ebbsfleet will not be promoted.
2) I give them 4 years (maximum) before they're liquidated.

A shrewd signing for ebbsfleet Antony has played in play offs and is a champion at Con South level so they are buying his experience

I think the bloke you heard on the radio was 'Carlos' the grand canaria "football agent" biggrin  who wanted to  take the club over & fill the team with canaria "superstars" biggrin. luckily this never happened as i think it turned out he hadnt got a pot to piss in !

Who knows where we will end up most of us are just happy to still have a club to support, which at the end of last season looked unlikely ! good luck for the rest of the season !   Up the Fleet !

A quality player, who according to Paul Fairclough did not fit it with their very refined brand of football. A dig at Welling I think going by his past history. He must be crazy to let a player of this ability leave. Barnet with their supposed Total Dutch football will never win this league, you need to be direct, physical, know how to play the refs and have a large squad with a manager who is experienced at this level. Surprised they never went for Adrian Pennock.

Yet Fairclough gave him an England C cap and must have had some input in his move to Barnet. It rather shows him up as a poor judge of a player.

Completely agree Mark. Watched him play, and picked him for England, partly to tout him I expect. Then dropped him. Says more about Fairclough than Big Ant I am sure.

I wasn't too impressed when AA  first played for us. Then, after some time, he improved so much he was a great credit to the team.

Great defending and some great goals for us. Good luck Ant

According to Kent online, "ebbsfleet are going to follow rivals welling uniteds training model, and train 3 mornings a week next season".

That winner against Truro was a joy to behold too. Lot of time for the fella. Good luck to him
