PRE MATCH MEALS......

Hi everyone,

I am working hard at trying to improve our catering services at the club and I am happy to inform you that we are now able to provide pre- match meals. We are trying this on a temporary basis to see how much interest it will generate. We will be offering a two course meal at 12pm every match day beginning 1st March situated in the Eric Brackstone Lounge. I would like to keep the down to earth vibe that i love so much about the club and with this in mind, we will be offering good quality home cooked food at an affordable price. We have 20 seats available on the 1st March and the price will be £10.00 per head, If you are interested please contact Lisa or Paul to book a seat.

I welcome any comments and suggestions....

Look forward to hearing from you.

Lisa :)

Really good idea, a lot of clubs offer them and it should help attract more sponsorship as businesses will be able to entertain clients and all that. Noon seems a bit early though unless its a leisurely lunch.

Problem being the lounge has to be open to our lounge
Members from 1.30 so to enable this we need to have the pre match meal

1.30 would be a great time for the meals. Again, what a pity that the empty new stand bar cannot be used. When, if ever, are the heads going to be banged together?

Unfortunately, to me, three hours before kick off is too long before kick-off for the meals to be served, particularly as the club no longer allows re-admission to the ground.

However I am a Lounge Member and if it were possible for the meals to be served to members between say 1.30 and 2.00 I would certainly be interested.

I have to say though that the time problem again illustrates the stupidity of having a perfect area in the ground for such things sitting unused.  On this subject, I notice that Luton are expecting to take between 1500 and 2000 to Nuneaton on Saturday (no doubt those of us travelling by train to Tamworth will encounter some of them at some point) and despite what has been indicated previously, from the Luton and Nuneaton forums, there appears to be no indication of any restriction having been placed on the sale of alcohol either in the ground or at the local pubs.  If this is the case when we play Luton in April, it seems crazy that WUFC & E&B cannot come to some sort of one-off agreement to have the E&B clubhouse open for that match when the crowd is almost certain to be considerably bigger than it was for the Charlton game.

It will be shut due to Millwall and potentially West Ham turning up is my guess plus maybe all local pubs

I guess it may still appeal to some sponsors who can then drink in the bar for 90 minutes before the match, could make for some interesting MOTM decisions.

I sponsored the Barnet game. Six hours solid and still picked the right man. I think.
