Yesterday saw the first Pre match meals in the Eric Brackstone lounge
whilst I appreciate the timings are early and we did not fully explain exactly what people would get
for their monies , Lisa Lisney and myself would welcome feedback , positive and negative
hopefully we can continue this going forward but improve things along the way
Yes, far too early. I would suggest that this needs to be part of the exec lounge package (with reflected, but reduced price) which used to include cooked food - otherwise, what is the point of an exec lounge ticket if meals are served in the lounge and time is squeezed? Alternatively, make the meals part of an exec lounge use on the day (making the venue more crowded and tables at a premium for ordinary punters who are not sponsors) - or just use the Wings bar.
I agree that the meals should form part of the Exec Lounge package, then there wouldn't be the hurry to get the meals finished. I'd happily pay extra for my season ticket if there was a pre-match meal included (on a Saturday, at least). There should be a couple of choices for the meal, too.
Up the match sponsor prices a bit and have the meal as part of that package.
There is considerable merit in the suggestion, even at this stage when the new prices for next season have been published, for an Exec Lounge package to include pre match meal.
Having tried out the deal last Saturday I'd say its a good idea offering decent value. For the rest of this season I'd suggest a menu when making the booking would be good with a 12.30 start which should enable people to eat without rushing and be clear by 1.45pm at the latest. Exec Lounge members could book a bit later if they wished as they can remain in the upstairs bar.
Some of the suggestions mentioned in the previous replies are well worth considering. I am sure a later start for the meal would create a lot more interest.
The meal itself was very good value and Lisa did an excellent job. Well done.
Sally and I had the meal and both thoroughly enjoyed it and would definately come again, Soup and a roll followed by Shepherds Pie (the Shepherd's Pie was the best I have ever tasted well done to the chef) and a free drink was very good value for money.
A bit more advertising of what's on offer would have been helpful with maybe a choice of two soups.
