So, as many of you know, Welling Utd has a new bar!

And, its a bar that we hope many of you will visit and like enough for it to be become your regular place to drink, not just on match days but all week too.

The new bar has:

-11 HD Screens

-Sky and BT Sports

-Multi channels, so we can show more than one game or channel at a time

-Table Football

-Playstation 4 (FIFA competitions, so get practicing)

-Golf Machine

-Quiz Machine

-Fruity's...

-Quiz Nights

And yes, we'll be serving real ale along with an improved selection of draught and bottled lagers and spirits all at competitive prices

We are opening our doors at 11am next friday (11th) and your more than welcome to pop in and come meet the team and see what we have to offer and we're starting off with a huge weekend of sport...

starting as we should with the annual home friendly with CHARLTON ATHLETIC on saturday then on sunday we'll be showing the WORLD CUP FINAL.

We hope to see you all soon and are looking forward to the new season!

Marcus

Bar Manager

You could have left the word improved out of that sentence to be honest..

With PS4 and bar football it will cost me a fortune on matchdays when my boys are with me!

Had to pop down to PVR today and looked into the bar. Even an old fart like me was impressed by the transformation although there seemed to be a good bit left to do. Some (if not all as I only saw through the open door) televisions in place and looked fantastic. All I can say is eat your heart to those oposition fans who have constantly criticised our facilities in the past. Sorry I am going to miss both the opening and the Charlton game as I will be away that week. Good luck to Dean, Marcus and everyone concerned with the venture.

I had a sneaky tour round the new bar yesterday and I can assure you on Saturday you've got to see the new bar it's unrecognisable, you'll be blown away!

Apologies if this has been covered already but will there a be collection tin at the bar for Boost The Budget, or at the very least a charity of the club and/or Pure's choice.

On Matchdays yes, but the Wings Bar will now be open on non-matchdays. Having a collection tin at the bar would give punters somewhere to put the leftover change from their round.

Was at the ground yesterday evening and popped into the bar. The change is fantastic and we now have a superb facility to have a beer! Well done to the club, Dean and Marcus for their hardwork.

Great day yesterday all round. New bar is absolutely amazing and must now be one of the best in the Conference. Club Shop is also a great addition to our existing shop too. Took a few mates yesterday who come 3-4 times a year and they were all very impressed and noticed the upgrade in facilities. Also, to add great service in the bar with excellent waitresses who were very friendly and professional.

Just sign a 20 goal a season forward and promotion is on the cards !!

Popped in to the new Wing's Sports Bar yesterday and I must echo what has been already said. An excellent transformation. To be honest, I was expecting 100" curved screen plasmas; bars on three sides, the wall behind the bar to have been knocked down to extend the floor space, an unobstructed panoramic view of the hollowed turf, a screen behind the bar showing the live timetable of the bus stops outside, but what I found was still great. I must admit though, I popped my head in initially about 2 o'clock and it was packed, so I went upstairs and gate-crashed the bar there instead. Again, pleasantly surprised as I saw two large TV screens on the wall. With live coverage from Sky & BT sports being screened means that I for one will be tempted to get to the ground earlier to watch the lunch time kick offs.

Information received states that the Ladies toilet in the bar has had a lick of paint and that's it, Disgusting and shameful that this place is open when the ladies toilets are not fit for purpose. Get this sorted NOW

Don't get me wrong J, I think the transformation of the bar ( apart from no bitter) is superb but my wife offered to pay for the toilets in the Ladies to be replaced and was told that as part of the refurbishment of the Wings bar would include the toilet facilities. Toilets that don't flush in my view is disgusting and the thought of having to use one that had the previous occupants contents still there just makes me cringe, as it was my good wife left the bar last night and went home due to the state of the toilets stating that should couldn't possibly use them. This has been on going for months with the state of the toilets and needs to be put right ASAP. I hope that this will be sorted before the start of the season.

The toilets (girls) are getting decorated at we speak... and although the toilets work fine we wasn't aware (until saturday) of the drainage problems, we are looking into a solution for that and don't forget the cabin toilets (by the entrance to wings) are also available and if you haven't been in them they are also surprisingly nice.

We've come a long way, excellent progress has and is being made. Keep up the good work.

Just a quick note to the Wing's Bar manager, don't worry about getting any Bitter, just get a selection of Lagers.
