Big game this, would be fantastic for us to get a 3rd consecutive home win and push up into mid-table but it won't be easy against a very good Gateshead side.

Would snap your hand of now if was offered 1-1 or even 0-0. But I get the feeling 1st goal gonna be crucial COYW

Now that first win is in the bag the pressure if off a little.
Play for a draw and we will lose, but play as we have done and come away with a draw icome full-time is a good result yes.

Come on the Wings!!!!!!

Welling's opponents have not had a shot on target for over 120 minutes.... (139 mins we made it to)...

See if we can double our lead and make the game safe :)

Good effort lads was backs to the wall stuff 2nd half for sure. They are one of the best passing teams I have seen at PVR and a good point gained COYW

Gateshead were a very good side. That is a very good point gained against them. On what I saw today Gateshead will be challenging for the top spot big style.

We totally bossed the first the half and they did the second half. Our play in the first half was amazing; we pressed them all the over the pitch, played good passing football, created lots of chances and more importantly looked like a team. Decent oppo who stepped it up second half.

Today's game was a great advert for Conference football with a fair result.  A really fine performance against a very good side.  Now it's crunch time with five of our next six opponents having the same number of points as us or less.  If the team perform in those matches like they did today there must be great hopes of rising some way up the table.

The proverbial "game of two halves" on Saturday although they probably dominated the second more than we did the first.

A very good opening half pressing all over the pitch and a very well taken goal. I think the sheer effort in the first half took its toll in the end (plus an improved performance from them) and we were hanging on at the end but showed good character and resilience. Definitely the best opposition I have seen at PVR this season who should finish in the play offs again at least.

I think our lads will benefit from a weeks rest this week. We now have a few games against the so called weaker teams in this league but we must show the same application and level of performance as we have in the last few games and hopefully we can rise up the table a little further.

Up the Wings!

Good enough result against a side likely to be up challenging for the play offs most of the season.
