Welling United commence their FA Youth cup campaign at Corinthian on Thursday. The Welling squad will be made up of youngsters mainly from the Development squad/reserve team.

Anyone who went to the pre-season friendlies may recognize some of the players as four or five of them tasted first team action.

Despite them playing in an adult league, Jamie Day has insisted in the Welling squad being under 19 and many are 16 or 17.

I'm sure they would appreciate support from anyone who may be able to get along.

A very young Welling United team won 3-1. Sondufu, Mellon and Birch scored the goals.

The tie at Potters Bar is down on the FA website for Thursday 6th November, kick off 19:45.

If successful we have been drawn away (again) to the winners of Royston Town, Barton Rovers or AFC Sudbury in the Second Round Proper

(Barton Rovers and AFC Sudbury have still to play in the Third Qualifying Round, with the winners away to Royston Town in the First Round)

Fantastic effort by the lads. Congratulations to everyone. Not another away draw. When will they be lucky enough to get a home draw?
