Ok, so there were plenty of ideas floating round last night at the WUSA meeting. I proposed that we get all ideas collated as we would have been at PVR until midnight otherwise! So please send me any ideas you have for project 1000 and these will be collated. Please PM me or email d316dean@aol.com
Thanks all!
Dean

Dean I have sent you the ideas I shared with Matt back in May/June time for Target 1000 following my meeting with Rick Everitt who drove the Charlton Target 10,000
project
I'm not sure if this happens anyway but give out free tickets in schools. The club could give out as many as it wants and even if only a small proportion of people actually turn up it will mean a kid with a family and the potential for them returning if they like what they see

I emailed Paul last year about sending a mail shot to all the schools in Bexley Borough. We could offer a teacher or vetted parent a free ticket to supervise the kids as a group.
Although primary school children (under 12s) would go free anyway, we may have to work out whether we can offer a further discount to 12-17 year olds (usually £5) who go as a group with their school.
We could also offer free/discounted (depending on age group) tickets to the local Scout groups in a similar way although it is going off at a bit of a tangent to the activities scout groups do.
With regards to promoting to schools and scout groups, as Paul is possibly rushed off his feet already with His current duties in the commercial department, it may be worth us having someone volunteer as a school liaison officer, as this would give us a direct contact with the schools and may work more efficiently than mail shots. Especially if we want participating schools to come back and gradually increase the number of pupils they bring. I would be happy to volunteer with this to an extent although my work hours would hinder me somewhat.
Put some kind of deal in place that utilises traditional football things.
Ticket, Pint, Pie for a score.
2 tickets, Pint, Can of Fanta, pie and chips x 2 and a programme for a bullseye.
That kind of thing. We all know some of our fans are cheap (not naming and shaming lol) so if they know their complete cost going in then maybe the fear of having to buy a round won't scare them out the ground lol.

Nice idea, but the problem is that the Club no longer has control of either drink or food having outsourced the bars and catering.
One of the best things is the junior wings and the coaching in schools now.
Our lad goes to Danson Primary literally 800 yards from the ground. There were over 100 kids at an after school football session. So many they have now extended it to two nights a week to cater for the demand.
There is no quick fix. Get the kids hooked young and they will come to games and bring a paying adult, as well as being customers for life. Give them a flag, or a photo, or a scarf and lose maybe a fiver, but gain a supporter for 50 years and make 1000s in the long run.

It's a slow burner, but it works.
It would be great if a player could get along to one of the sessions with a few freebies.
