Interesting that Jamie should comment that the pitch was slow, I was thinking exactly that when the teams were warming up. Before realising the nature of the beast, I had remarked that they had deliberately not cut the grass! As for FIFA recognition etc, if the PFA and other players unions in various countries decide to boycott artificial pitches, and I do not think that is beyond the realms of possibility, FIFA, FA etc can go whistle.
Firstly I though it Maidstone wanted it more today and we couldn't cope with there physical and direct play. Fair play to them they caught us on bad day.
But how do they get away with that pitch. It must be a massive home advantage. I didn't enjoy watching a match on it. should be played on grass.
Both players got injured during challenges nothing to do with the pitch . England have played on one , champions league games played on them so you will have to live with them. We have had no injuries this year on that pitch so why do you need any sort of report . In fact we have had more injuries when playing on grass over the last 3 seasons . UEFA and the fa endorse the pitches . Anyway good luck for the rest of the season .
I was standing in the corner where both players got injured and both turned their ankles due to no give in the "grass" not because of challenges.

Having now calmed down, we have not become a bad side because of one indifferent display. Maidstone played better than us on the day and we cannot blame the pitch nor the referee. Some players let Jamie down, they know who they are, but we move on and regroup albeit with seriously depleted funds and, seemingly, more serious injuries to key players. As for the pitch, having watched my first live game on such a surface, I do not like it but it works for Maidstone tactically and financially and they should not be held back because of it. However, I would not wish to watch matches on plastic every other week, it seems to be a totally different game.

yeah and every single prem team that has to play on one in the champions league moans about it.
As I have said in another thread it is an unfair advantage and why you are unbeaten at home
