We've been playing a bit better since their goal. Our one was from a free kick 25 yards out. Bush took it and their keeper appeared to stop it with his face. Healy knocked in the rebound.
Akinde (elbows) landed a lovely elbow to barneys mouth god knows how he didnt get booked at least I only know he really hurt him as blood was pouring out of Barneys mouth when defending a corner and I was behind the goal...... He bullied us last season and did same this season :( we looked so poor upfront just could not give our defense a break at times even though we tried to pass it about and did create some good chances. I know he a bully Akinde but we prob would of won today if we had him uptop he is a physical beast

Unlucky today, a decent performance from 20 minutes onwards, right until the end. Deserved at least a point.
Hope it doesn't get the lads down because the games versus Barnet are not going to be the games that decide our fate. A much better performance and if we play like that against sides in the bottom half, and dare I say it people like Maidstone, then we will have nothing to worry about.
I think we held our own after a slow start. As Big Dave said we were poor up front plus their two centre backs were good. Harry was his usual lively self. Jamal MOTM again I won't argue with that he's been good in most games. Well done to our keeper. A pretty impressive performance. Gutted with their late winner. Cruel to say the least. Well done Barnet. You are Luton clones IMO. Jamie Day,Frosty and Ash keep up the the good work £ for £ you are the best in the league. Keep the squad going. We'll be fine.
Easily worth a point after a good performance...especially 2nd half when we made Barnet look ordinary.
Have to assume we lost the toss because only a complete idiot would have chosen for our keeper to be blinded by the sun in the first half. Did that have an impact on not defending their first goal?
Was Kieron St. Aimie (no 10) injured? If not then he is not up to this level...slow and off the pace throughout.
Awful referee...also not up to performing at this level.
Was really not fair to get a point out of that second half maybe even 3
We lost down to loss of concentration every big team we play we concede late
We got 3 4 players who give it there all the rest just do enough to keep there place
Half hearted I say. As for the atmosphere 1 of the best yet we just need to keep that concentration
Till the last whistle unlucky boys

I was nervous after the first 15 minutes when Barnet were clearly the better team by far. But we came back well and had a few good chances to go ahead in the second half which was really encouraging considering where Barnet are in the league. Win against Dartford on the 11th and all will be back on track.
Thought most had good games and reacted well to what was a dire display last week. Apart from Kieron St Aimie, I can't work out if he is not interested, not good enough or both. I am normally a positive thinker but having seen him several times, he is woeful. Is there no better option?
Interesting to read Barnet fans said our pitch is bobbly. And more bizarrely, we're a big physical side. Have they not seen their teo centre halves and Akinde?
I was encouraged by the second half performance against a very strong outfit. However we can't keep playing the unlucky card when we give such soft goals away. I thought Fyfield was in the running for motm until that error at the end - I was taught at primary school not to let the ball bounce like that and lo and behold they score from it. Our latest keeper had a good game, Jefford had perhaps his best game in a Welling shirt and the midfield all worked hard and had to cover a lot of ground to make up for the lack of effort from others....
The problem is there is no respite for the defence as we have nothing to occupy teams at the other end of the pitch. The Marsh injury, just when he was looking confident and scoring a few goals, is a hammer blow for us. I realise that we can't pluck 15-20 goal a season strikers out of thin air and with our budget we aren't going to be able to attract big players. Hopefully Penny will be an upgrade when he is fully fit and/or our manager will have to play the loan market again or find a rough diamond from somewhere who we can polish up a bit. After all Dagenham recently took a lad from Chatham who is now scoring goals in League Two so there must be some out there.
Barnet were a decent side and we probably deserved a draw and could have nicked the three points. That is two points lost in injury time in the last two league games and that need to stop sooner rather than later.
