Ridiculous.
He got the ball and it wasn't with two feet off the ground, or reckless or out of control.
Why was it a red? and what grounds were given for it not being overturned.

He has a record as long as his arm.
He got sent off two weeks before (and went back for "afters" with the official)
His overall disciplinary record is shocking
The FA very seldom overturn decisions (unless in high profile games and if the media latch on to the incident)
No way was this appeal ever going to work - waste of time and money.

I have to agree with Wingnut. I was very surprised when I saw that an appeal was to be submitted, I wonder if it was done in desperation largely due to the acute shortage of midfield players we will have available for the next few games. Would it have been appealed if Harry had not left the club? We will never know. It is true that there were tackles made by Halifax players in our match with them which deserved red cards more than Jake's tackle and the tackle on Jamal by the Bristol Rovers player was probably as bad as Jake's and went unpunished but unfortunately that has no bearing on the appeal, and, having looked several times at the video, I do think that under current guidelines his tackle was wild enough to deserve a yellow card. In those circumstances I don't think there was ever any real chance that the FA would overrule the referee and rescind the red.
The only good thing for us is that the deadline for suspensions for 5 yellow cards has now passed for Conference level and 10 yellows becomes the limit up to the 2nd Sunday in April. At least that means that providing no one else manages to get themselves sent off we should be free of any further suspensions for a while and certainly at least until the transfer window opens.
Yes, it could have, but I imagine Peterborough put their foot down and Harry wanted the move.
They'd have wanted him in training full-time with them rather than part-time with us for the whole of December I imagine.

Entirely agree with Wingnut on this (hasn't always been the case!).
Unfortunately, we have to accept we are at the mercy of generally poor quality officials in the Conference, and when a decent ref does come along, he is probably fast tracked into the football league, cos it isn't much better there!
