We needed a manager quickly. We took our time. Now we have 11 fit players, who have just played 120 minutes, to play 4 games in 10 days. A complete fecking shambles.

What shocks me most about this loan, is not that he followed Jamie, its that Oxford allowed this, why would they let one of their up and coming strikers drop down a league? I'm sure money may have something to do with it, but surely the development of the player should come first??
Must say I'm disappointed.....Quality of footie in that league perhaps shows Marsh lack of ambition to ply his trade in that league and not a higher standard.... Oxford don't care as they want shot of him so whos next Daisy!!!?

Agreed -and this is why we need to hold on to our best, contracted, players no matter how much Gravesend throw at us.
A shame as Marsh has been a good player for us, always looked a threat going forward and could actually stick the ball in the back of the net. Hard to blame Day for this really, he's clearly keen on him and I'm sure we would have an opportunity, if not 'first dibs, to be the club to re-sign him. Perhaps JB didn't want him or the club were caught on their heels?
Backwards step etc, but if he drops to that level he will score a barrel load and considering he'll be out of contract in the summer and a free agent I imagine, like Day, its a one step back to take two forward thought process.
On a positive note the new manager will have ample funds to splash around by our standards once these quick run of games are out of the way...
Beautyman off wage bill, plus the money from the deal,
Day off of wage bill (high wage you'd expect given player and manager unlike Brown),
Marsh gone,
Chambers gone,
Turner gone,
Two keepers loans running out in January,
Let's back the new manager.
A few tough games with no players in the coming games, then the potential to kick on and move up the table ... get 4 from 6 v Dover and we'd be 99% certain to be in the top half.
Disgusted Mr Day knows well enough how thread bare we are yet he is cherry picking our squad of one by one I wish someone from our club would turn around and say fck off enough is enough lost all respect for Mr Day he dos not just have to sign welling players there are thousands of players out there ffs. Also showed no class last night when we lost to his new team, I hope Jody Brown can get a few in and hope we stop rolling over and having our bellys tickled..... COYW
Ty Marsh is an Oxford United player. His loan to Welling has ended. He's chosen to go somewhere else. And Jamie Day has snapped up a quality player because he NOW can. Let's face it we all knew this was going to happen. We'd better hope Jody Brown has a few gems up his sleeve. I suspect not. We'd better enjoy the ride for now. Can't see good times ahead I'm afraid. I'm sorry I'd liked to be a bit more optimistic but don't see any silver linings to recent events.
I thought clubs couldn't extend loans past 3 months unless it's a season long loan. We had Marsh for longer but he was injured for part of his time here. Maybe someone could explain the loan system as it stands.
Broken Wing. Normally you can't extend it, but as Marsh was on a youth loan (which ended today as he turned 20) we could have signed him on a normal loan.

Why is this a backward step. He and his advisors obviously think differently. I know it is difficult for you to accept, but short term and long term, he will achieve more at Ebbsfleet if, he performs, than he will at Welling. Your club had the opportunity to have KEH on board, you turned them down. I do feel a little sorry for you, manager, then JD, this could have been your team doing this to someone else, would you have felt sorry for them, maybe, maybe not. How long will it be before you take any good players away from Grays, if they have any, its the way of the world.

You are right Pogfleet. It's to be expected, just comes at a difficult time as can't bring others in and we've a small squad.
Ps, tell your idiots with the drums to do one. Did my head in, don't see how you guys manage every week.
I doubt that very much, KEH have many plans already in place for our team. A new stand to be erected in April for starters, with all the land around the pitch purchased already. If we go pop then we have lost nothing, because we were going that way anyway 18 months ago. We will enjoy this ride while it lasts, and I think it will. Your club had this opportunity, they turned it down, time will tell if it was a wise move. For us it was a no brainer. Good luck for the rest of the season, hope we meet again in the Conference.
We all know it boils down to cash. You can try to develope youth players. Improve your commercial activities. But in the long run having a fat rich bastard at the top is all that matters. Money money money talks. Which makes Welling United mute.

So is yours, if it was offered to you, you would not do it then. Would you not be upbeat if all these things were happening to your club. Would you not like Marsh on a permanent 18 month contract.?
Just a note to those fans under 50 and over 12. Please bring your boots and shin pads to Dover on Friday. You may be needed. Kit will be provided. Free orange segment at half time also on offer.
