Have been following Welling's results without all the other news of comings and goings:
So if I'm right
- Day dropped down a league to Ebbsfleet (why? money?), we've got a new young manager from lower leagues in
- Beautyman has gone with a view to be sold
- Various players have come in to bolster the squad.
Result of all the above turmoil = the understandable wobble we're in? As I haven't followed the club very closely (only been once this year) I presume people were happy for Day to stay?
Day went for more money, a bigger budget, bigger squad and the hope they get up and compete. With Ebbsfleet's current owner flinging money at them you can understand why he went. Although it is a gamble they go up, a gamble the owner keeps flinging the cash and a gamble he sticks with Jamie.
Harry went to a higher league and fair play to him. Not sure what the final fee is though, should know soon?
New players (thankfully) and lucky enough the wobble is being offset by similar wobbles at D*rtford, Nuneaton etc.
Day went without any gripes from me as he achieved a huge amount on a limited budget..........but it's not about Day anymore, but our new gaffer. This will be about the 10th boss I've seen at PVR and I think the club have chosen well (again).
Hopefully we'll see you at PVR as we need the fans back at the ground.
