I'm afraid not. We won't get the interest needed for it to run and break even. Plus it's just over an hour from euston on the train. I booked tickets for our group of 12 last month at £15 return. A coach would be at least double this

Surely WUSA should at least be considering running a coach for what is now the biggest game of the season. The more support we can get there for the players and management team the better the chance of a result.

I know there hasn't been much take up for these on occasions but it can't hurt to put the feelers out surely? Doesn't mean it has to run if interest is indeed low. We tried to run one to Gateshead and I'm sure that is the toughest to get commitment for due to distance and cost.

As for cost, £15 return might have been available last month but it sure as hell isn't now, and thats after you have got to Euston. And there is no way a coach would be double, £30 per head. We were quoted £32 per head to go to Gateshead if we got 35 people. Nuneaton is half the distance at best.

I don't recall a coach being advertised , surely it would be good to try and get as many fans to support the lads on such a vital game
Obviously this isn't the only place Wings fans would look for away travel , I know a few fans who would go to away games if coaches were offered
Maybe a mini bus could be organised

Problem is Kevin that we are -£300 on coaches for the season due to people promising to pay deposits or pay on the day and then not turning up. We also don't have a home game before so it makes it difficult to get money in. I'm happy to look into a cost today and put something on here later today, as long as people can transfer the money into the WUSA account.

In terms of a mini bus there's very little difference in the cost on a mini bus and coach but a mini bus doesn't have a toilet on board.

Dean
Agreed that there is not a home game to publicise the coach but surely with over 100 WUSA members that's 100 email addresses that can be hit
The club have a shop on the high street which is open daily if people wish to pay and social media is a simple way to communicate
Worth a try

No probs. I will ask Tom for something to go on the website and will see if Ken can get an email out to members. Please can fans support this, we have to break even if this runs. Paul that would also be very helpful if people could book via the shop, thank you.

Up the Wings!

I have received an email about this this morning so clearly the communications are working well.  Had this been advertised two weeks ago I would definitely have put my name down but unfortunately I have now made other arrangements for the day which cannot be changed.  I hope to see many others at Lincoln on March 14 though.

It needs to be organised properly, and that's not meant as a criticism, people should be made to pay a deposit or the full amount into a bank account before their booking is accepted. Just taking names and relying upon people clearly hasn't worked.

it is pretty bad when you can't trust people to abide by their word of paying up though

I guess its too easy to say yes and then just not bother if they haven't had to put their hand in their pocket.

Coaches vary depending on duration. From memory Plymouth was £1,100. Braintree £500 and Nuneaton we've been quoted £600. So far i have just 3 names.

Those are all 49 seater coach prices. We've always struggled with coaches. Booking trains in advance gets cheaper fares. Some times we've offered coaches and had just 3 or 4 people interested. I would love to try and run a coach to every game, but the interest is not there.

Incredible to have 69 people at Aldershot yet we can't get enough for a coach to Nuneaton.
