Wings beat a Dagenham & Redbridge X1 today

Solid performance and a 1-0 win, early goal from Dominic Vose after Anthony Jeffrey destroyed their full back and centered for Vose to slam home after 4 mins. Not too many chances in the game but it was very windy and conditions were tricky.  Sam Berry started and we looked solid at the back against a lively Dagenham X1 which had a few with first team experience playing i understand.

All of ours had a run out except, Jon Henly,  Barney Williams, Jason Williams, Reece Harris and Joe Healy.

 I am all for playing friendlies to keep us ticking over but surely our professionals such as Henly and Williams J should be playing??

Surely the defence should be working with the keeper they will be playing in front of on Saturday and beyond??

I think Jody said in the Freeview interview after that Barney is still injured, Barney said he should be training on Thursday. Jon had a very very minor injury and could have played but as it was a friendly they didn't risk it, he was there watching. The Keeper that came in looked solid and the back 4 played fine.

 

EDIT:  Just seen the J, He played for Southend yesterday, much the same as Sho Silva played for Charlton U21s while with us.

 Thanks for the explanations.

Personally I think Williams J should play for us in the event of a clash of games (friendly or not)

 I'm not sure that we can insist on it. These youth 'work experience' loans are a bit weird.
