Food for thought, as I see it we need 15 more points to have a chance of avoiding the drop, so we start tonight by ending the losing run with a hard earned draw at Gateshead, one point, (1). We continue that vein with another good point at Lincoln (2), although three would be preferred but let's be realistic. Regrettably I think we may have to narrowly concede to Barnet and Grimsby, but by now Faz will have got the boys in good playing shape, so at last a win as we repeat last seasons victory at Woking, (5). Eastleigh will be scrapping for an outside chance play-off place and will restrict us to one point at PVR (6). Now confidence is returning so Kidderminster (9) and Wrexham (12) return home pointless, a draw at Alfreton who will be similarly scrapping (13), and finally we beat Southport at PVR (16).

Anyone have any other predictions or permutations, other than one or even two 'safe' Conference Premier clubs doing a Salisbury? That worked for Dirtford!

Good luck to Faz and his crew tonight.

were not really sh*t. We play like a bunch of unmanaged tactically clueless hoofballing team where you get selected if the manager likes you regardless of your ability to pretend we haven't got a clue so we go down because we should of last season. Jody sacked losing 8 in a row yet Dartford manager lost 10 in a row there last season on way to relegation and is deemed a legend. No wonder the club is falling to pieces. I genuinely hope you win tonight for Kent football.

Hopefully we will start our winning run tonight, but who should we blame for our situation, Jamie Day for leaving us at a crucial time,
Jody Brown for not managing what Day left, plus adding a couple only, the management for appointing a manager to quickly and ignoring FAZ who stated his interest when Jamie left, or the players for not giving their all when under difficulties. Whatever if we stay up I will be there next year, if we go down I will still be there next year to cheer the "WINGS"

Brown all the way....Day left us when we were 13 points clear ....if we can stay in touch with Southport and Alfreton....our last 2 games are Alfreton and Southport

I hope Welling can just avoid losing much more ground on Alfreton and Southport over the next five games. If they are within touching distance by April the fixtures should offer some hope with four of the last five at home. Three points behind Southport on the final day with a superior goal difference and it's still all to play for. You'd probably take that right now, right? Alfreton having to play away at Bristol Rovers on the final day could be helpful too.

Stopping the rot tonight any which way would be great.

I am more confident after tonight Moo! And I don't mind being wrong if any of the predicted draws should turn into wins, or if we get something from the Barnet and Grimsby games. But for now I stick with my earlier forecasts and dodgierdart, no, unfortunately I haven't got to the bookies yet, what odds do you think I can get for the remaining 9 matches on an accumulator?

Sorry I am late to the party, yesterday's 6 nations took its toll! Great result for the Wings at Lincoln, faith restored! Well done to all involved, from planners to supporters. And what's more gives my prediction a 2 point cushion...so far! We must not be disheartened by Southport and Alfreton wins, if only this management and team had featured 2 months ago. Next up for what on paper is the toughest leg, the next 2 games vs Barnet and Grimsby for which I predicted zero points. However, Barnet have lost 3 of their last 5....fingers crossed my cushion may get extended?? COYW

Southport and particularly Alfreton look to have the better fixtures for the rest of March.  Welling would probably do well to not lose ground in the next two weeks. But with confidence returning and teams at the top starting to wobble at bit, who knows?

Welling look to have the best fixtures in the final month.  Four of six at home, and both Southport and Alfreton to play.  If they start the month within a couple of wins of the teams above, it can happen.

Aldershot will be right back in it if they lose at Bristol Rovers. They have fewer games, some tough looking fixtures and may need a couple more wins yet.

Nuneaton and Dartford are still in it at the moment, but there doesn't seem much point looking down.

It's only right that I put Nuneatons  fixtures up seeing as they have now overtaken us. Although it's a little disappointing for us that they have won tonight its pleasing that Alfreton have n't won at home to Dartford just as they failed to beat Lincoln and Chester at home. They now have a very difficult run of fixtures.

I believe 11 points will keep us up as long as at least one of those is against Alfreton. 10 points may even be enough. With 5 of our last 7 matches being at home and the aways at Kingfield (where we have a decent record) and Alfreton that's very gettable.

Well, after last weekends defeat by Grimsby, Wings are still 2 points ahead of my original safety prediction at the head of this thread! However, now it really is squeaky bum time, particularly as I had not bargained for Southport, 1 defeat in 9 including consecutive wins in last 3, Alfreton unbeaten in 7 and, Nuneaton, 1 defeat in 8 which has included 4 wins. 4 points a minimum now from the two Easter games, keep calm, stay positive, our team needs us!

I'm going to hope that Alfreton take no more than 4 points from the next three. Seems a realistic hope:

v Wrexham
v GRIMSBY
v Eastleigh

And Nuneaton take no more than 4 points from the next three. Also seems fair:

v Barnet
v BRAINTREE
v Dartford

And Welling can take at least 5 points from their next four:

v Woking
v EASTLEIGH
v KIDDERMINSTER
v WREXHAM

None of that seems too forlorn a hope.

Then with two to go Welling are above Nuneaton at least on goal difference, and within 6 points of Alfreton.

Welling win at Alfreton and then beat Southport (it may if be a blessing if Southport are already safe before that game) on the final day. Bristol Rovers, still going for automatic promotion beat Alfreton on the final day. Welling stay up on goal difference.

That'll do.

 Good analysis.

I was going to to say we've got a game in hand on Alfreton which if we win leaves a four point gap. With Southport and Alfreton to play at the end we're still in a shout of staying up.

Kidderminster and Eastleigh will hopefully either have nothing to play for or be resting players for the play offs. Wrexham's season is already over although we can't be complacent.

The performances haven't been bad recently. I know the lads have got the capability to win the majority, if not all the remaining games. The last six games have got to be treated like a cup run. The team have got to push themselves to the limit, if not for the club then at least for their own careers to prove to others that they can perform at this level and above which we know that they can.

Frustrating second half, but a good weekend. Decent performances and back within six points of safety. Two more opportunities to reduce the gap still further next week before the Alfreton game.

Obviously disappointed my original predictions have gone belly up this weekend, my two spare points gained at Lincoln were taken by Woking on Saturday, but after today I am now three points down. However, the fat lady is still singing and all is not yet lost, just keep positive for the last matches and we will see where this roller coaster takes us. COYW

Three home draws and a win at Alfreton could be enough as I can't see Alfreton getting points from their other matches

Best case scenario is we beat Kiddy and Wrexham and Alfreton lose at £astleigh.

If (and I realise it is a rather large if) that were to happen we would go to Alfreton ahead of them on goal difference and the pressure is completely on them.

Ha, disappointed no-one spotted my deliberate mistake in saying I was 3 points down after Eastleigh beat us, in fact I had predicted a draw for that game so I am only one point down on my original prediction, but now other results have gone better for us than I expected, and hopefully we will put all this to bed after Saturday when my predicted draw at Alfreton becomes 3 more points! And barring miracles, 47 points + our superior goal difference should be enough to survive. But let's take no chances, I am prepared to wait another week to see the final 6 points earnt which will be the icing on the cake!! COYW

It would also help our cause if Bristol Rovers beat Dover away on Saturday (assuming Barnet win) so that they would go into the last game at home with Alfreton with a chance of getting automatic promotion. Also, if Grimsby beat Southport then we would finish above them if we beat them at home in our final game. Of course if we beat Alfreton on Saturday we are safe anyway.

I would rather Southport are safe by the time we play then so they have nothing to play for.
