I thought that Bush had a two-match ban and not three?  Also, why can't Zach Fagan get a game these days?

Awful defending there. We had three defenders in the box and their one player was the one who got there.

Refs are **** and we're not given fair treatment but that won't change and we can't control it. However, we can control;

- why is a man starting games who has scored only one league goal all season,

- why is our best striker who we could have recalled not been brought home,

- why is our best attacking threat and set piece taker on the bench,

- who has Fagan annoyed

So in summary, we pay a manager to make decisions such as all the above rather than the Ebbsfleet idea of the fans picking the team. We are entitled to our opinion as we pay our money but, as we know, we are not educated football people.

In fairness to him, I thought St Aimie had a reasonable game? Played a couple of nice through balls in the first half in particular.

Explanations of sorts for the absence of Young and Chambers, no mention of Bass bizarrely. What is going on?

There are reasons to be positive. There has been a definite upturn in performances since the eight game losing streak. It was unfortunate that after the 4 points taken from the Gateshead and Lincoln games, the next four fixtures were Barnet, Grimsby, Woking and Eastleigh who were all going for promotion. The next four fixtures look kinder on paper and more difficult for Alfreton.

Kidderminster have won 3 of their last 18 and have nothing really to play for. And Alfreton go to Eastleigh on Saturday. There is some hope Welling can reduce the gap there.

I've read Nuneaton may be facing a 3 point deduction. Is that right?

Men against boys yesterday - simple. We got bullied from start to finish and didn't win a 50/50 tackle all game that I can recall. I know we had to improve our discipline but we have now gone totally the other way and seemed frightened to make a challenge. Yet again a weak official and yet again they play him far far better than us - I have given up banging that drum but something needs to change.

I thought the back five (who must be the youngest in the league by some distance) all gave their best but I don't think this 3-5-2 system suits us. Barney looked lost at times in the second half and was not sure when he was supposed to be. If we were full time and had hours to work on it then maybe but they just don't look comfortable. I think Osbourne, Berry and Chambers are good young players and, considering they are on loan, they seem to be fighting for the cause. I would be happy to perm any two from those three as long as Bush doesn't get back in. We need to get Harris in a more forward position either wide left midfield or even up top (looked good against Chester when he played there) and perhaps revert to a back four with Jefford at left back. I don't understand why Fagan doesn't get a look in and I assume that Vose didn't start as he can't even manage 90 minutes once a week (I have no idea why) so two games in 48 hours was never going to happen. As for the waste of space who is letting down the legendary Welling number 10 shirt I have no further comment to make other than he shouldn't be playing at this level at all let alone starting?!

I can't believe we are still in with a chance of survival but we are. However we need to be more aggressive tactically and at least try and win the game which we failed to do yesterday. We fought back well in the first half but hardly laid a glove on them in the second half. We have now lost six in a row at home in the league and I don't see a sudden change in that statistic unless we get much more positive. Let's go 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 and at least look like we are attempting to win the game Two wins in the next two games could put us in the driving seat going to Alfreton - a tall order when we have won 9 league games all season! However anything less and I think the fat lady will start clearing her throat....

If we go down then can we at least go down fighting (not literally)

Up the Wings!

It was tough yesterday. With the worst disciplinary record in the country, and the points that has already cost them, it's key Welling keep eleven on the pitch. Eastleigh were allowed to get away with a few things. That was frustrating yesterday because match it, and you know it is sod's law that the red card comes out.

In the second half, when Lafayette was on the ground after taking another hit, Adeyinka walked over to the linesman and asked him to keep an eye on Turley. Said he was having a go after the ball had gone every time. A couple of minutes later, I think it was him that took a wild swing at Lafayette on the other touchline. Still no yellow. Then to rub salt in he pops up and scores the winner.

Think you will find lafayette was lucky to stay on the pitch to be honest, he threw a punch himself and pushed the fourth official in the chest.

Ah fair enough. Was that the same incident? It descended into a bit of a melee.

The ref wasn't great yesterday, but if Welling do go down it won't be the fault of the officials. 488 disciplinary points can't be bad luck.

Anyway, roll on Saturday.

I think Lafayette took the law into his own hands in the end because he felt he was getting nothing from the officials - doesn't make it right but can see why he was getting frustrated. I was told also that Berry was a lucky boy in the first half for a wrestling move on Constable which the officials missed although in true Wenger style I didn't see it myself.

I hadn't quite realised the amount of holding that went on with Turley the biggest culprit as seen in the pictures put up by TMIAGC. He looked a very limited player (as did the whole Eastleigh team considering the budget they allegedly have) but he (and they) ultimately did a job on us and it was sods law that he would score the winner

According the the Nuneaton fans forum, it's for fielding an illegible player against us in February. Shame the FA can't transfer the three points over to us or force a replay...

I am not on here to wind up anyone, be sarcastic or pi*s anyone off. I lived in Bexley for 30 years before moving to Dartford and watched welling too many times to remember. Its fair to say I've a soft spot for the wings and i always watch them now if the darts are not playing or playing away so I cant travel. (I work Saturday mornings)
I genuinely want the wings to stay up even.if my own club have made a mess of it, again.

The one comment id make is to please stop blaming the refs all the time. Referees are abysmally poor but I've been to alot of your games where the refs have been blamed religiously and its not always the case.

Best of luck I hope you stay up, I was at your game Saturday and i believe you can string a few results together. I honestly think you're better than Alfreton but maybe cards have cost you?
