The end of season presentations will take place at 8pm in the Wings Bar on Saturday. There will be the traditional season review by Wingnut, presentations of Player of the year, players player of the year, a special recognition award, your chance to vote for goal of the season, as well as the fantastic highlights video by JGFC. Lisa will also be opening the food bar. The evening is free for all to attend so hopefully it's a packed house and a great evening, see you all there!

Yes they are. I'm sure i've seen kids in the bar after the games. Not sure if they have a time that they have to be out by though, I will check with the Wings bar and let you know

Thanks Polo. I've been in after matches with my kids, but I assume there's normally a 'kick out' time at some point - as it's a later kick off and presentation night I thought they're maybe a change in the rules!
Just spoken to Marcus, due to council guidelines, children have to be out of the bar by 9pm.
So Junior Wings are essentially banned from the end of season presentation do then??
That's unfortunate. I'll be complaining to BT Sports and the Conference then as without delayed kick-offs I imagine this problem wouldn't be occurring, and I really don't see why these games are 5.15pm's
Is there some rule in England against showing live domestic matches at 3pm on Saturday? I think there used to be. And as they all have to kick off at the same time, they all have to moved if one does. BT probably have a Premier League game on at lunch time, so that leaves Saturday evening or Sunday.

Couldn't the bar be effectively "closed" for a private function? I completely understand why kids shouldn't be in pubs or bars at 9pm but this isn't a run of the mill Saturday night in a bar.
Southport didn't get a end of season do on the final day last season, and I hope they won't be having one this season either. Very unfair on the away clubs having 5.15pm kick-offs.

I don't suppose Southport would be having one even if it was a 3pm kick off.

They might have done had it been a 12:30 kick off though.
A Big thank you to WUSA for putting on a good presentation evening WELL DONE! it was encouraging to see volunteers being recognised for the contribution to WUSA and that members of the Junior Wings were involved.
Also a thank you to two people that have been ever present through out the season in my view (for what is worth) is to Dave C in the shop and Sheppa for doing the bonus ball who have been at every home game raising funds for WUSA.
Really glad Barney won - very well deserved. His consistency is astonishing for someone of that this age.
I've been calling Barney "Oor Denis Irwin" all season, I reckon I've seen most of Barney's 51+5 matches for us and can't remember him having a poor performance. He was my choice as POTY. Just hope we can secure his and Sam Corne on contracts for next season.

I would like to say it was also a great gesture by Harry Beautyman turning up last night. If any of our younger players are tempted away I would tell them to take a look at H. He is proof that Welling can develop its young players and does not stand in their way when offers come in from league teams.
Have a great summer wings fans see you next season.

Very kind of you, Morph. Much obliged.

It was great to see such a good turnout at the presentations on Saturday night. Several kind comments have been made on this thread already, and I agree with them all. We are so fortunate as a club to have volunteers who put so much into occasions like this, and others who do a tremendous amount of work throughout the season and without these people the club would not be running so smoothly. It was nice to see some of these people given awards on Saturday. There are many who qualify for these and I feel sure their time will come in the future. Thanks everyone for a great night, and now enjoy a good summer break.
WE ARE STAYING UP, I SAID WE ARE STAYING UP. :) :) :)
