I imagine it's the latter day Steve Perkins from the same era as Chris Moore. Good centre half unlike his short lived namesake in the 90s who had a memorable nightmare game at home to Southport (a 3-5 defeat I think with him scoring at least two own goals!).
Correct on all fronts. Glen Knight also scored an own goal in that game when John Farley belted a clearance directly at him and it flew straight into the net.

Had a feeling there might have been a third own goal - thank goodness I didn't attribute that to the hapless Mr Perkins!
Jamie Day has been responsible for all of the high points at Welling United over the past few years and I have enormous amount of respect for what he did. However, whilst I may hold a minority view, I would not have him back at any price, leaving as he did once is forgivable twice is not.

I don't actually blame JD for taking either opportunity to be honest and he will always have a special place with the supporters of WUFC.
That ship has sailed and I am not sure the current ownership would have him back now anyway..
We have another Jamie at the helm now and we need to support him and hopefully he can be as successful as the other Jamie was at PVR in time.
I am afraid I agree with Ron. As much as I apreciate what JD did for us it is time to let our current management get on with the job which I think they did pretty well on Saturday having read posts on here and listening to part of the radion broadcast.
I wish both Jamie and Ade all the best for the future and hope they get clubs in the near future.
