Jake started a lot of games for Welling - finishing them however was a different matter....

I see the shrinking violet that is Pearson of Halifax is made captain - makes Jake look like Mother Theresa.

Yes, Jake starts for England C - but where will he finish up in the next week or so?

The way it's shaping up with Jake he could be hard to keep. As an England international and a bit of a talisman at Welling (despite his disciplinary problems last season) his retention if possible is vital for me.

I imagine Wellard isn't cheap. Gallagher, and I suspect Fyfield, will have been offered decent deals on the same or more money than last year. What more can Faz do without going over budget.

The problem is, Mark, that people with good careers usually find it difficult to commit to training on three mornings a week.

Yes I see your point Mark but that is never going to happen when we train 3 mornings a week. We are effectively full time now. I see Bromley as well as Ebbsfleet are now following us in this route.

Helps get young players from full-time clubs on loan, like Osborne, Berry and Chambers, as well as all the Bournemouth lot over last few years, as they are full-time hence train mornings, and then often coach kids in the evenings to boost the income.
