Create and miss chances - tick

Concede a soft goal due to poor defending/goalkeeping - tick

Start the second half like we are playing a testimonial - tick

Bizarre substitutions and tactics - tick

Play so slowly I forgot we had an extra man - tick

Throw away two points - tick

Is this going to be the feeling I get every Saturday night?? And don't anyone tell me about taking positives from the game - the only positive to take from that game was the return of Barney. I actually thought we played far better with 11 v 11 - perhaps we should have asked the ref to bring their red carded player back on?! Oh and when we have a player badly injured (and clearly unable to continue) can we leave him on the pitch, get the sub warmed up and on the pitch and then let the injured player leave the field. It might not have made a difference to the concession of the goal (but then again it might) and it is basic common sense. And how about changing the wingers over occasionally - if I can tell they are going to cut inside time after time after about ten minutes then I am sure the opposition can work it out pretty quickly. Not only that but the left back is booked after half an hour and then spends most of the second half defending against the slowest midfielder/forward that we have - he must have thought it was Christmas!

I really didn't understand the second half changes. Perhaps Lee was injured but dropping our most creative player deeper was a mistake. If you are club captain then surely you should be trying to prove you deserve a place in the team rather than amble about for forty minutes giving the ball away. I have been reliably informed that he cleared a ball off the line to prevent a Torquay goal second half so I suppose that balances out clearing one off the Torquay line when his own team mate hit a shot that was going in! And what was the last substitution about. We finished with a back three of one centre half and two full backs and far from trying to win the game we looked more likely to lose it?! If anyone can tell me the formation for that last 10 minutes then I would love to know as nobody around me had a clue and neither it appeared did the players?!

This league is the weakest it has been for some time in my opinion. We have played two ex league clubs in the last two weeks and have got 2 points when we should (not could) have had 6. If we keep repeating the same mistakes week after week, game after game then we are going to be rooted in the bottom four. The back four looks decent but know that if they make a mistake and concede a goal then we are very unlikely to win the game. The midfielders and wide men work their socks off and should be applauded for effort alone. However the goalkeeping position has been a fiasco for a large part of last season and all of this and we only have one "striker" who possesses a semblance of a threat and he is banned for another two games. Stopping goals and scoring them is ultimately what football is about and our recruitment in these areas has been disastrous.

I hear and read that  this is a "management team" but I want a manager and coaching staff. Who is making the decisions?? Where does the buck stop?? Do they have a vote when they want to make a tactical switch and/or substitutions or a game of rock/paper/scissors before they decide whose opinion we are going with?! If Faz is the manager then he needs to manage.

Rant over....for now!

Tyrone Marsh is available at Torquay and he is very direct, strong, quick and scores, we should know a bit about him (sarcasm) and I would have thought he would have been the number one target in the summer as he is proven at this level and makes things happen.

Of course one or two will need to go out on loan or on transfer pretty soon / yesterday, its down to Lou to make that happen.

I couldn't understand why Barney was not sent to warm up earlier. Harry was clearly in pain and holding his hamstring (in front of our bench) for a minute or two before he actually went down. Surely that was the time to get Barney warming up, making him ready for when Harry did leave the pitch.

The stats from last season.

First 10 games - 2 wins, 3 draws, 5 defeat - 9 points.

Next 10 games - 2 wins, 4 draws, 4 defeat - 10 points.

Next 6 games - 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat - 13 points.

Jody Brown in Charge - 9 games - 0 wins, 1 draw, 8 defeats - 1 point.

Faz in Charge (2014/2015) 11 games - 3 wins, 3 draws, 5 defeats - 12 points.

Faz in Charge (2015/2016) 9 games - 1 win, 3 draws, 5 defeats - 6 points.

Not looking very good as supposedly Faz and his team had the benefit of a clean slate to bring in a squad of suitable players.
I was not convinced once I saw that KSA had been resigned, did not see anything last season from him that showed he was good enough for us and he only looked good when Roscoe came back.
Too many sub standard players have been put on contract too early and are not good enough for this level, we would better off playing the youngsters like Archie Johnson and Joey Taylor than some of the players that do appear. We miss Gallagher's presence in the centre of the park, a huge loss for the team.
Sam Corne tries really hard but needs help, Harry Lee is a talent but shouldn't he be further forward? Vidal is a talent but was so wasted in the second half on Saturday playing so deep should have been pushed up behind the strikers. I could not understand the tactics that were deployed against a very average team.
What is the issue with Zach Fagan, he looked okay last season but the current management team do not seem to know how to use him.
The goalkeeping and goal scoring issues have not been sorted out adequately.
George Porter has run his socks off and must now be frustrated.
I do not see a mid season boost this year as we have no Beautyman, Marsh or Gallagher in the squad.

Zach Fagan had a tight hamstring going into Saturday's game.

a striker who is scoring goals for us and we would be a good few places up the table. Signing KSA was stupid as Roscoe made him look good and he is injured anyway but anyone who can get a few goals at this level and we would be fine

With all the comments about us needing a world class striker ( slight exaggeration) I expect to see the Boost the budget bucket bulging at the seams at the next home game. I see Spurs have released Adebayor perhaps he'll fancy a few games for £150 a week until he's snapped up by Wrexham in the January transfer window.

Was it really Roscoe who made KSA look good or was it that the two of them had an understanding of what both can do. KSA was played mostly out of his best position, I see him not as the finisher but the provider, his vision for putting a ball through the gaps for the front men to run on to worked with Roscoe ( both intelligent players) it didn't quite work with the younger ones. Big rumour last Saturday was that the club were looking into bringing Ty Marsh back and when I spoke with Ty after the match he seemed keen to get something sorted. KSA is about 6 weeks from returning, and I have a vision of any 2 from Porter Kabba and Marsh up front with KSA in behind feeding the ball through the channels for the quick guys to run on to. We need an older head in the centre of the park and we are definitely lacking a leader on the field. The back four seem solid enough and with Barney returning (although probably a few weeks away from match fitness) will only improve, I personally don't like three at the back with Jeffo and Barney being used as wing backs, I think both are much more effective as overlapping fullbacks, the biggest problem we have is that most of our midfield and front men are one footed and the opposition are finding this out and know what way they're going to go. Get them working on using both feet.

Some good points but if we think KSA is part of the solution then we are in serious trouble. Yes he had a decent end to the season but the start and middle were extremely poor. I think the fondness for KSA shows just how poor the current alternatives are. I would take Tyrone Marsh back although lest we forget he couldn't get out fast enough (and drop down a division) when £bbsfl££t waved a few pound notes in his face...

Oh and we had an older head in midfield - his name was Joe Healy and he would walk into this team...
