.............do I need to take my boots over to Essex...??

Fagan and KSA presumably still injured (and quite possibly Porter too)

Adeyinka and Taylor out on loan

Nortei and Awotwi both cup tied (well done to whoever let that happen....)

And no confirmation that I have seen that Messrs King, Lee and Semedo will be allowed to play by their parent clubs...??

Granted that not all of those players are first choice but with 7 subs allowed for Cup games we should have made sure we had a big enough squad for this weekend.

Grays Fan in peace.
what sort of crows are expecting to bring along chaps?

Looking at your earlier post, it does seem that your team is looking a little depleted

i believe the clubhouse will be open from midday on Sunday.
Looking forward to our first encounter for a few season!!
enjoy the game
COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!

Usually crows are black...but as it's a special occasion we've trained them to look like a striker who can score goals, we are just having a few teething problems with the offside rule and the fact they always try nicking the refs shiny whistle..

I  wonder whether Tash and Joey can be recalled from their loan at Leatherhead, have they not been there for a month? As you imply, it is so damn crazy to let two of our players become cup-tied for a match which means so much to the financing of our season and, possibly, recruitment and retention of players.

If we do get through, perhaps the Conference will let us off playing a league game before the next Cup round if both clubs are in it? The Ryman gave the ok for Grays and Staines to play their scheduled league game  this week on another date - as they did the same for Maidstone last season. If it is ok for that to happen, perhaps the Aveley versus Witham match should have been postponed to a later date.  However, playing on a Sunday on a pitch played on the previous day could be a blessing in terms of approach and an extra day's recovery for injured players.

I'd rather we had Wingnut in the squad

Tash scored for Leatherhead against Grays at Aveley a week or so ago. Apparently he ran from near the half-way line, beat his marker and finished well.

Important game tomorrow, FA cup is an important part of this clubs history, the whole build up has been flat for this one, I for one am looking forward to this, getting into the 1st round draw is massive. Hopefully we can get behind the lads tomorrow and make some noise.

Has been a low key build up. Our official site could have maybe had a look back on some past FA Cup games with photos, videos etc.and tried to build a bit of interest up. Not appealing to have yet another away cup game though, even worse on a Sunday in my opinion. Could be so crucial for our finances though.

Biggest game of the season so far. The result is all that is important and if we need to take them back to pvr on Tuesday then so be it. Let's all get behind the boys today in a tricky tie.

I see several teams from our league crashed out to lower league opposition, hope we buck the trend!

Well done to everyone making the surprisingly tricky trip today. Sadly I'm stuck at work again.

Just checked TravelLine and should anyone at the last minute wish to head to the game, the easiest way from Welling by public transport seems to be getting bus to North Greenwich, tube to Elm Park Station, then a 372 to the ground.
