WUSA are looking to run coaches to the Dover and Braintree games.

Cost for 30 people is £20, 40 people £15 and 49 people £12. Non WUSA members can add £5 to these prices with kids being £5 cheaper

If you are interested then please let me know either on here or via deanshulver@gmail.com.

With the issues we have had over the last few coaches and people not turning up or pulling out late on, we will need £10 deposit paid before your name is added to the list.

good idea, possibly more chance of filling these coaches, but I think you should make the deposit the 'filled coach' price, ie £12 as on these occasions, then if you do sell out there is no loss, and you don't have to worry about collecting loads of loose change on the day either? Just a constructive suggestion, keep up the good work!

So far i have just 5 names for Braintree and 4 for Dover. Braintree has to be booked and paid for on Monday so unless there is a late rush, it's unlikely it will run. To fill these coaches would mean a price of just £12 for WUSA members.

Hello all,

The braintree coach is as expected cancelled. I had 12 names for this. I will leave the Dover coach open for a few more days but at present I have just 8 names so I can't see this running.

MYTA has three seats left on an eight seater costing around £22 a head if full. If anyone is interested in any of the remaining seats, please can you let me know as soon as possible.

Maybe it is an indication of how we are playing!

I'm amazed we are struggling to fill coaches. Just a month or so back we had initial demand for two coaches to go half the length of the country to a s**thole ground in the middle of nowhere and now we are struggling to get double figures for crucial league games little more than an hour away.

Yes, as MarkX says the recent results and style of play don't help, but all the same its a sorry state of affairs.

Polo, I don't know what the solution is, but something needs to change. I dare say there would be a good 100 behind the goal at Dover, so people are going, but not using the coach, and the trains aren't reliable/running, why so little interest?

But that was the FA Cup and that normally gets fans out - as witnessed by the turnout at Barwell and Carlisle games.

Most Welling fans have been to Braintree and Dover countless times and it is probably not top of their to do list over Christmas.

As others have said it helps if you think your team might get a result (or even score a goal) for fans other than the diehards to attend.

Completely agree, but all the same, just 8 names is ridiculous.
Doesn't aid the chances of us getting anything from the game if there is a lack of support in attendance, but I guess the team have somewhat brought that on themselves with the lack of goals.

Trains are running fine to Dover. Braintree is a bit of a struggle. Some people I have spoken to have said they won't go because of the way we are playing, not something I agree with as I will always go but I can understand at christmas that asking people to pay £15 for a coach, then the same to get in to the ground is going to be a struggle for some against two good sides.

Could it not be as simple as its not that far away and as its over Christmas its quicker and easier to drive yourself? (If you have a car etc).

I am trying to be positive and not blame it on our performances of late!

Maybe the way we are playing, money, family things to do etc. but also our 'local' game is still 60 miles away and Dover is a right crap hole

Well it's Christmas and the team are playing badly, I doubt watching Welling is top of most people's list. I'd imagine some people will see on the day and gauge the temperament of the missus!

Sadly, there were no takers for the remaining three seats so MYTA has cancelled.
