A total shambles all over today. Why have Lee, Lokko, Vidal etc been left out when we've started with a player up front who has only played 20 minutes all season.
The club stopped serving ale at 12.50 and cider at 1.15, originally they said because it had sold out but actually it's because none of the 3 bar staff knew how to change a barrel! One barmaid was texting people while serving also! Biggest game in the clubs season and we have screwed things up on and off the pitch.

Oh that's a shame Ray Stubbs doing the commentary passing not been the greatest given the ball away far to easy soft goals as well. If the Carlisle one was a penalty then we should had one first half
I found a couple of local pubs with Direct TV, but they aren't opening until 8 am for the Liverpool game, not prepared tho open at 6am for "who the hell are they, never heard of them" teams.
Lee and Harris come on. Replacing Fagan and St Aimee. When we are losing 2-0 and have Vidal and Kabba on the bench. Everyone behind the goal is stunned as to this. A total shambles today and time for a change.

The management team clearly had a game plan, but to me that plan took all of the our attacking options away. It seemed as though Jefford and Williams weren't allowed over the half wayline and we took all our pace out of the team.
It always seems to be the way when we get a big crowd and publicity we have a hurrendoes game. Having said that, that Carlisle team were very good and clinical.
Not a bad crowd I guess, pity the result was not what we wanted. Perhaps we were just too much of an underdog against a team in 6th place in the division above.
Looks like there'll be some lively discussion after the game. Still, isn't getting into the second round proper for only the fourth time in club history still a decent achievement?
Sam Corne came close from the free kick paused it and looks like it bounced back off the line from the cross bar , wasn't going to be our day... I think soft penalties given and we could easily had one in first half from the same sort of challenge.. And there first goal was caused by giving the ball away so easy.. Now we can concentrate on the league
Awful awful line up, would love to hear how that is justified? Who picks the team? Massive opportunity to increase our profile but we ****ed up! How many time have we out played anyone? Have we? Luck running out

It seems like that to me.
Just caught 5Live reporting the referee did Welling no favours. Outclassed today, but than can happen. Carlisle are one of the highest scoring teams in the Football League.
Needed to get to 60 minutes at 0-0 ideally, but the game was gone at 2-0. First goal was sloppy, and the second probably handball. Going down to ten men rubbed salt into the wounds. It is worth remembering Carlisle drew at Anfield a couple of months back. Everything needed to go for a nonleague side to get a result, and it didn't today.
Surprising team selection admittedly. Didn't work today sadly. KSA doesn't need to get involved with the crowd, but he takes some horrendous stick at times too. He didn't pick himself. First match at PVR since he played a big part in the wins that kept Welling up at the end of last season and he's getting the same stick straight from kick off. It can't help anything.
On to Tilbury hopefully the start of another cup run.

On balance, the reality is Carlisle are probably a sufficiently better and more consistent team, and a loss to them was the most likely result. As for team selection, I really don't "see" enough of the players at this remote distance to form a reasonable opinion.
Now the team can concentrate their efforts on moving up-table in the League and protecting their status for next season.
I'm probably too biased and not well enough informed to weigh in on the already begun "management change" topic so I'll stay well clear of that subject.
I have to say I couldn't understand the selection of KSA today with both Harry Lee and Reece Harris being left on the bench. Whatever the thoughts were behind this the plan clearly did not work.
One thing I'm sure that everyone will agree on is that Sam Corne was absolutely outstanding today against Football League opposition and must have impressed an awful lot of people. If he's still a Welling player when the January transfer window closes I will be amazed.
What a disappointing match that was !!!
A very strange team selection , definitely need to question the management teams ability after today..... Unfortunately I think a change will be needed sooner rather than later.
Pretty shocked at the abuse KSA received from about the first minute, particularly from 1 or 2 very vocal exec lounge members. Disgusting behaviour in my opinion. Fans can have whatever views they want on a player, but to constantly barrage them is no use to anyone.
Then banging on about no effort from the team, telling people to lump if forward and to stop trying to play slick passing football.
