i didn't go in the bar so can't comment on the drinks situation
i do feel however that Barry and Barrie made tireless efforts to get things sorted for today.Sales of tickets, organisimg TVs crews scaffolds and everything else must have taken considerable effort
we can all point fingers when things go wrong particularily on the pitch at the moment but some praise is due when only two people are involved in something of this size
A reasonable point unless you look at it in the context of the family preferring to be in total control of a small operation rather than looser control of a bigger one. There have been a few points in the last 25 years where it was reasonable to assume that this is the case and certain things come with that.
A very valid response and I'm certainly aware of the bigger picture that you paint. However I think a bloke in his seventies and another bloke who cuts the grass does the DIY and a lot of other stuff made a reasonable fist of it yesterday in the bigger scheme of things
Until we see some new blood at this level or more bodies the club will continue running in a similar fashion

I am sure that these two were putting almost 24 hour shifts in this past week, but Mr Knee, I think you may have overlooked others who were acting above their stations too who should be equally praised. I have in mind Mr Commercial, other Board members, WUSA members and the other army of voluntary helpers. The Hobbins' may be at the front, but surely not alone?
I am sure there maybe others. However my post was regarding the Hobbins. They sometimes seem to take a lot of grief but don't often get praise and I just felt from what I saw they had tried to do the right thing
Accepted, you are right, but I wouldn't want others in the camp to appear unrecognised? Well done to all in administration and off-field organisation, (apart from the **** up with tickets and the bar!)

Yep, praise where it's due, the club would be in a very sorry state if it wasn't for all the free time given by a large number of people. They keep the club going after all, even if there is no beer in the bar - go to the Hinge instead.

Tough to do at half-time, or in the 30 minutes before kick-off once you have already paid to get in. Also, should we be actively wanting supporters to spend their money elsewhere other than the club bar?

If PURE were able to run the bar well and always provide a good real ale (not just the cheapest available) I would be happy to encourage people to use the bar. It should be remembered that the Door Hinge provides sponsorship and promotion for the club.

Yes, if only. Seems we are now getting the worst of both options (PURE running or Club running).
