Another tough one but you never know. I thought Dover looked pretty good against us. With the wind pretty strong down here we have to play the ball on the floor - obvious I know but Dover dealt with high balls easily against us Boxing Day.

COYW!

yes its going to be tough-when we play it on the floor we look half-decent. I would love to beat that lot their arrogance at PVR was annoying and we could rub some salt in the wounds from their Bromley loss. COYW!

If they give us a 2 goal start I fancy us to get a 2-2 draw

Much better performance. By far the better team with a few chances. The Dover keeper pulled off a cracking save from a Porter header. Credit to Sahr Kabba today, was causing the Dover defence plenty of problems, he just has to shoot earlier!

Time to take a few positives then, I know "one swallow does not make it Spring" but a good performance, away from home, we didn't loose, and the team selection was better. Now they just need to keep it up.

Much better performance and we created some good chances. Wasn't totally like before (not creating/missing chances) as their keeper saved well and the ball was skidding around. Kabba unlucky not to score. Conditions were bad so can't fault the decision to abandon.

Seems strange but I have a more positive feeling tonight.

A much better performance yes. We looked much more of a threat going forwards, although the reluctance of forwards and midfielders to shoot on sight in conditions like that needs questioning.

Dover looked poor compared to 6 days ago, and the back line, our keeper, and the midfielders all worked hard in tough conditions to make sure they had little chances.

Some positives for once, although sadly it counts for not a lot.

No points but I'd rather have a team like today that put in a shift and was clapped from the pitch when it could have been a team 3-0 down trudging off (after Boxing Day I was fearing the worst). Going into the Grimsby match with our heads down could lead to a hiding but hopefully the team will have a bit more belief.

Regardless of views on the management team, credit to the players.

Let's be positive...we have some great players most of whom are putting in proper proper shifts and trying hard for the club...it's too easy for the NEG heads to throw their negative ****e in at every opportunity......yes that is aimed at you two....even after a good performance away......key thing for me is that Faz hasn't lost the players.....even if he's showing his management naivety....and as a new manger what do we really expect.......we are a lower level club punching up above our weight......look at he money Dover have spent coming up.....keep on keeping the faith...COTW :0)))

First half on Saturday was the best I have seen from us for quite a while. No nonsense defending when required, creative in midfield and hard working up front. We actually created some good chances with good football rather than the odd sporadic effort. Set pieces and crosses were much better. Also the best I have seen from Kabba in a Welling shirt.

However the recurring problem all season has still not gone away. Wellard missed a sitter with a header from a free kick, Kabba should have scored from a rebound and whilst it was a good save from the keeper from Porter's header he should not have had a sniff of saving it. So, instead of turning round at 0-0 we should have been at least 2 up at that stage and well on the way to three points regardless of the weather conditions

Am encouraged by the comments on Saturday's apparently improved showing, let's just hope we can carry this better performance into Saturday's tough encounter.
But you have to score a goal to have a chance of winning and that could prove problematic. As they say "you are only as good as your last match" and if we get a 0-0, whilst not enough to save us, it will at least represent some good effort and further hope going forward.
