As the pitches are now turning drier, perhaps this could be our chance to win a few games (albeit a mite late)? Also, possibly, a time to start Xavi on the drier surfaces?
Do we select our side based on the weather? I do hope not.
Mr OMERTA. Put the drugs down.
Well, I hope we do take the weather and the nature of the pitch into account in team selection. A heavy pitch can obviously dictate tactics and how certain players are used or not selected because of how the conditions influence their game. Likewise, a dry. bumpy pitch could suit a particular player more, and the manager is likely to get a more effective performance out of him. I am sure there are managers out there in the lower football league divisions, our level, and below, where weather and pitch conditions help to influence their team selections and tactics.

I'm pretty sure the weather and pitch conditions are nothing to do with the recent non-involvement of Vidal.
The fixer and Nortei have done a great job in the last two games, and with Lee and Corne still to come back, he might not get a look in.
Nice thought, but in reality with so many injuries the squad is not big enough to ring the changes to suit the weather. But it would be good to see some of our quicker players given a run out wide so that they could cross into our target man / striker ................... Do we have one?
