Another spell at this level is coming to an end unfortunately. Just wondered how the best 16 man squads from both eras compare and who would get in a joint side.

 

1986 - 2000

FW - Robbins

Subs - Darren Williams, Wayne Brown, Paul Copley, Phil Handford, John Farley.

 

2013 - 2016

DF - Franks

DF - Williams

DF - Jefford

MF - Gallagher

MF - Day

MF - Beautyman

MF - Vose

MF - Healy

FW - Guthrie

FW - Lafayette

Subs - Rodak, Fyfield, Corne, Dyer, Cargill.

Oooh....I like this game!

Going with a 4-4-2

                   Butcher

Hone      Franks       Horton    Jefford

Dyer    Beautyman    Day     Healy

        Abbott        Robbins

Jefford only in because he is really the only out and out left back.

Midfield lacks a bit of pace maybe but makes up for it in quality.

A nice mix of steel and skill
